Sorry sir, but I can't let you get away with calling a Deja Vu (or Valley Vu, as I like to call it) a masterpiece. :) Though the ride experience may be awesome, the ride itself is really pathetic. This ride as we know took months to build and finally open. But did you know that of the 5 total days the ride has SUPPOSED to have been open thus for for Fright Fest, it has only been open 3 of those days? Also, of the 3 days it was open, it was only open for roughly half of 2 of those days (plus or minus a few hours). Only one day was it open all or just about all day, and that was this past Friday when the park was only open for 6 hours. I've had such good luck to visit the park the 2 days it was closed this month and I swear that I've seen that ride valley more (during testing those 2 days) then I have seen it complete its circuit. Because of all of this, I would *not* recommend anyone without a season pass to go to SFGAm in hopes of riding Valley Vu this year unless A) you like taking risks B) the weather is picture perfect and C) you don't mind not getting to riding V2. However if you do have a season pass, please go! You could still have tons of fun but just don't get upset if Valley Vu doesn't open. It's still a really good park, even with two (brand new) closed coasters. :)
By next season all the bugs will be worked out of the 3 Deja's and I predict more people will be happy with it than will be dissappointed.
Having several DV rides (SFMM) under my belt, I agree with everything Neil H. says about the ride.

SFGAm's Deja Vu (the last to open), seems to be the one having all the problems. I rode the SFMM one several times and would have to agree with Neil, Soggy, and DWeaver also. Quite easily the most unexplainably intense sensations are found on Deja Vu. I have not heard of any problems or down-time with the SFMM DV.
P.S. - Ride the outter seats, as far back as possible. Better than the front car on this ride!

Gatorwoodie-
True, that even I passed on more rides due to wait times compared to other rides, but lets put that aside and look at the ride experience itself.
Do you people have to fix the formatting of your posts as often as I. How annoying!

"Savor this children....this will probably be the only time you hear people actually excited and raving about a Vekoma boomerang. ;)"
LOL! Actually, I had no trouble with boomerangs or invertigos before Deja Vu. I loved 'em, but now the standards have been raised. Deja Vu is truly a great addition to the three parks that got them. This is one coaster that i wouldn't mind if they where cloned as much as normal boomerangs. The hangtime in the second spike is one of my all time favorite coaster moments.

all the rides are identical so the dispatch time completely depends on how fast people load/unload and how fast the crew checks
The SFGA DV is the only one that I know of with the seatbelts and OTSR's, therefor making SFGA longer, because both have to be checked. But also, DV is more effected by the weather because it has to be a certain speed to get up the lift towers for the catch cars to catch.
FWIW, only rode Vu once even though I was at SFoG Fri night and Sunday...seems as though Vu was cranky and didn't feel like operating all of Sunday. :( Oh well, that park has some amazing coasters so I was happy -- it's all about marathoning on that masterpiece of a coaster, Mindbender! Woohoo!

Nitro, Legend, and IOA. Is there anything better?
I really hope Vekoma can somehow get back in business, I would love to see perhaps an even larger version in the future. BTW does anyone have any new information on Vekoma going bankrupt?
