Elitch Gardens + 2002 = Upcharge Attraction?

I visited screamscape.com today and it was updated with news and rumors. I looked and I saw something I never saw before: Elitch Gardens in the news! I clicked on it and read the whole story.

Rumor - (10/14/01) Instead of a new ride, the park may only add a new upcharge attraction next season. From the sound of it, this may either be a Sling Shot style ride or possibly one of the new S&S ThrillShot rides.

Elitch's last ride was Boomerang, which was built for the 1999 season. I think this is a bad idea because Elitch Gardens needs a new coaster. Six Flags neglects the park, same with SFKK and SFAW. If it were a S&S ThrillShot ride, then the only place that I think it could be added is where the Pepsi Groves are now (PG are near the Mind Eraser).

Your thoughts?

I would love any new attraction, but another upcharge? For 2002 they got Turbobungy.
