The name however wants to see a surprise in an Inverted Coaster, The name follows suit, with Cedar Fairs other Inverts.
CP- Raptor, DP-Talon, WOF- Thunder Hawk?
Maybe we were all wrong about Falcon being the name. if it were put in at Valleyfair or WOF, and Falcon was to be Valleyfair only and Thunder Hawk for WOF. There is plenty of room in the area of Omegatron/TimberWolf for a Coaster. What a combo if it were true. Timber Wolf and Thunder Hawk. right next to each other. Plus Thunder Hawk just doesn't seem to fit for a Top Spin. The teaser in you will flip over for WOF new ride is pretty much all inclusive for pretty much any ride.
I will quit dreaming though.

With out doing any "homework"... my recolections of Dorney's Thunderhawk are as follows (Taking all of this from memory, so don't have a fit if I make a mistake)...
Built in 1923 (or was it 1927) by PTC, designed by Herb Schmeck as a standard out and back
Re-profiled sometime in the 1930's with some twisterlike elements added and turned into a figure 8
At one time had a tunnel out of the station, removed sometime between 1980 and the present (not sure of the year)
Painted yellow in the 1970's and at least early 80's, later received its present "ivory" paint job.
Was the only adult coaster at Dorney for most of its history until the steel Galaxy or Zyklon named "Flying Dutchman" appeared in the 1970's (now long gone)
Known as Coaster for most of its existance, named THUNDERHAWK with the arrival of Hercules (would have been confusing to have two wooden coasters and still called this one just Coaster, or so the story goes)
Sometime after 1980 had its station rebuilt.
At one time had the "Journey to the Center of the Earth" ride under neath it and the bumper car ride somehow built into its station structure.
At one time (1970's) this coaster was featured in one of the Cinema 180 movies (the type in the big dome tent with the half screen that made things look 3-D... I remember seeing it in Ocean City MD on the pier about a year before I first rode the actual coaster).
------------------------------------------
Don't get me wrong... I realize that you probably already knew all of this.
Fact of the matter remains that the CURRENT name of the 1923 era coaster at Dorney is Thunderhawk (a fact which I was well aware of) ... And that this name is going to be therefore used at 2 CF parks.
Is it a big deal? Not in the least... look at how many Cyclones and Comets are running out there... and the way it sounds, this new "Thunder Hawk" probably will not be a coaster at all.
