How's Speed The Ride

I am wondering if anyone has rode it and if they have how is it. I would like to know if its exciting or boring anf if it is rough like other Premier launched rides with the exception of both FOF and Robin. I saw it on a TV show and I noticed the OTSR are soft but the riders were still hitting there heads alot. Thanks for your opinions.
Anyone rode it.
Speed the Ride is one of my faves, when you go be sure to buy the all-day ride pass on it, It will be worth it. You hit your head a lot but the OTSR's are so soft you don't really notice. If your only going to ride it once the front seat is a must!

I rode Speed very soon after it opened. It was incredibly smooth, at least back then it was. There are no violent changes in direction like on the spaghetti bowl coasters, so the headbanging is at a minimum. I liked it a lot!

"X" marks the spot in 2001!

The padding is super-soft! The front is the best for the wind and the climb up and drop down the tower. The back is the best for the backward trip through the loop!
Does anyone think lap bars would be better. In my opinion even if it doesn't hurt lap bars provide ALOT better ride anyway.
i rode it its really good

"It was sure nice of Mr. Crab to give me a job here!" "And he was sure nice to start you off at $50 an hour! When i started, i had to pay Mr. Crab $100 an hour!"
It's a very cool ride, I didn't notice any headbanging on it...

A great ride, a must-ride in vegas!

It's a great ride!  I love how it screams out of the station towards the road and then makes a hard diving left turn into the loop!  Ride the front!
It is one of my favorite coasters. The OTSRs are soft and there is no headbanging. I don't think lap bars would improve this ride very much becuase it is already great.

But then again I would love to ride it with lap bars.
It is an awesome ride.  Smooth, Fast and intense.  Ride it in the front row, it is incredible.

This is by far the best coaster in Las Vegas. It is also I feel the best launched coaster I've been on. If  you only have time for one Coaster in Vegas, It must be Speed. I would bypass Manhattan Express and High Roller. The Big shot  however gives an amazing view of the city and surrounding area.(it's also very near by)

Hypersonic..... indeed.

Doesn't it have 2 inversions? The loop and an in-line-twist?

Nope just a loop but it goes through backwards so it is 2 inversions.
Just rode Speed: The Ride last week (Wednesday, Oct 3).  We did the all day pass, $12,95...not bad at all.

About the ride -- it's fantastic!  Best coaster in Vegas, without a doubt.  Front row is best, awesome float up and down the spike, not to mention incredible wind after the second launch.  They give you a double ride every time, so if you purchase a "single" ride for $8, you'll get two full rides.  They send trains every 5-7mins, or unless train is full.  We got at least 25-30 circuits on it throughout the day.  Never a line.

Speaking of Vegas, no this has nothing to do with coaster, but has anyone seen the Fountains of Bellagio?  OMG, this was the best show ever!  We must have stayed out on the Strip watching each show (there's a show every 15mins) for over and hour and a half.  The best show we thought was the one to the song "Time to Say Goodbye" by Sarah Brightman and Andrea Bocelli.  Truly an incredible thing to see, I *highly* recommend it.

Nitro, Legend, and IOA. Is there anything better?

I can't wait to go to Vegas in May, especially since my perants are paying everything for me because of my 21st birthday. Speed:TR is one coaster i will not miss while i am there. I am not an adreanial junkie for nothing!

I may be from IL, but i sure can't get enough of the FORCE. MF!!!
Well since you can get an all day pass for little more than the cost of one single lousy ride on Manhatten Express, its a great deal.  I really love the first drop on Canyon Blaster at Circus  Circus.  Great feeling, and lots of smooth elements one after the other.
The fountains are great, but the Pirates of Treasure Island blow that show out of the water! Get there early, all the good spots fill up an hour before the show starts.

Only one loop, but there is also an incredibly overbanked turn that dives underground. And you do it all twice. Canyon Blaster @ circus circus was the next best ride, rather short but fun Arrow Multi-looper. Manhattan Express has a descent theming and an interesting heartline twisting dive, but the ride is very rough and makes it rather unenjoyable. If you go on High Roller, sit toward the outside of the train for any effect. They are running it for 2 uninterrupted circuits now and it does gain a little more speed the second time through, though it is still a kiddie coaster on top of the building. Big Shot is good, especially at night.
