Really just a quick question. Who was the lead designer for Arrow Dynamics until around 1990? It was something with the last name Cobb I think. Does anyone have an answer? ----------------- What's a world without upstops?!
You could be thinking of Ron Toomer.
William Cobb designed four woodies including the Texas Cyclone. ------------- Don't look down-Oblivion
The lead designer I believe was Ron Toomer around 1990.
i think you might be thinking of William Cobb, an excellent wooden roller coaster designer. He has made some great twisters one example is Cyclone at SFNE.
Regardless of my CBuzz name, it was not me! Sethman is correct, and Toomer was there through the early 90's if I remember correctly. Bill Cobb was known for the notorious Rattler.
And a world without upstops can be found at Lakemont Park in Altoona......:) ------------- This really is a GREAT America www.angelfire.com/oh4/tk173
what I would give to ride the rattler when it first opened trim free. I have seen picture of that ride, it is sad what they;ve done to it look slike one heck of a ride if it wasen't neutered(sp?). ----------------- All at once the ghosts come back reeling you in now.
John Pierce designed the Rattler.
I must apologize....read the wrong paragraph! It was indeed Mr. Pierce on the Rattler. It says he took over for Cobb. ------------- This really is a GREAT America www.angelfire.com/oh4/tk173
