B:TR (SFGAm) Question

First of all, click here

After you clicked on the first link, click here

The first link's photo shows the brake run of the ride without a roof over the brake section and the transfer track. The second link's photo shows the brake section and the transfer track with roofs.

When were the roofs added?

Thanks!

I dunno.  all I know is that I started riding it after the coverings were added.  I wasn't "into" coasters until after that.  I believe that the first time I rode it was in 98 or so.

I believe it was 1993 or 1994 when the roof was added.

Hard to imagine it now without that roof!

Hmm....not sure, but B:TR here at SFMM has had the roof over the brake fun since 96 when i first rode it, maybe it was about this time when the rest got roofs

The ride has always had the fully enclosed brake run and transfer area as far as I know.  I would bet that picture is from the off season right BEFORE Batman: The Ride debuted and they had yet to put up the brake shed.

No it was taken in the normal season because I can see people on it. If you look close enough you can see the sides of the seat are different colors from the people's clothes

I can't remember it ever not having the roof - and I know I rode it the opening year...or maybe the year after. That was a long time ago, kinda hard to remember. The first picture is coprright '92, so I am guessing shortly after that.

The First year it didn't have a roof on it, I know this for a fact since the second year when I rode it there was a roof on it and it was kind of weird.

Also look at the date on the bottom of the picture its 1992 when Batman the Ride opened.
