Will woddies ever have same elements as steel?????

In answer to the question (sort of) - no. Wooden coasters cannot support the weight of steel trains or the stresses on the structure that those sorts of elements involve. And why would you want woodies and steel to be the same? Personally, I look for different things in wooden and steel coasters, and that's the way I think it's meant to be. Everyone has their favorites, but they're all different. The more different, the better!

What would the point of that be? Don't we already have steel coasters with steel elements? Why put them on woodies?

I think Inverted/LIM/Stand-Up Woodies are just what kids like to dream up...

Just keep the woodies traditional. A wooden flying dutchman? Now come on, that's just too much.

I personally would like to see woodies stay traditional. I don't see any reason or the point of making woodies with steel coaster elements.

that would be tight what are you guys talking about.  it could support steel trains.  the traditional wooden trains are steel.

The floorless woodie is conceivable. I can see it happenning. If a company like PTC would make one, they would probably sell alot. With all the gimmicks lately, a park would jump on it and advertise "Only floorless wooden coaster". It would be scary too, you would think your feet would hit the wood.

I think that a floorless woodie would be cool but lets be honest do you think we will ever see an inverted or 4d woodie? I can see a launched woodie, I think that would be tight but nothing else on a woodie.

Some of you that think stand-up, immediately think B&M "banana seat" harness. If there would be a company that designed a woodie train like the old TOGO trains, I don't see why it couldn't work. If you wanting loops, you could have loops, if you want helices , you can have helices, and you can have air hills, floater and bunny hills.

If you visualize Kind Cobra's layout with wooden supports and track, it would work easily.

As for a Flying Dutchman, or a 4th Dimension, I'd say to keep on dreaming. :)

speaking of this topic, did people forget about son of beast? I think the future will have more woodies with steel elements in them.

a loop is enough for inversions, but floorless would be neat
