New Idea For S&S Power Towers

This Idea would probloy make more money too.

Well, the other daywhile working on model of S:UE onthe twist part of it, i thought it would be cool if when the cars on the towers shot up in to a twist, the tower would be twisted and the cars would spin around the entire way upand back down.This would fun and disorienting.

Whatis your opnion on this ?

Ahh, crap. That was my money-making idea. Oh well, great minds think alike.

I would think the forces would be a little too high right when you shoot off. I am sure you could fix it though.

The way I thought of it would be that, you would not do like 10 twist or anything like that,it would be one twist all the wayup so it would not be as disorienting as it sounds, the twist would be as long as the twist onthe Intamin Impulses.

Hmmm, seems we all think alike.  I had that idea to.  I'd say it would be neat if it shot up like a regular space shot ride then had the 360 degree twist near the top of the tower so it would be could deliver a twist, a launch upwards and a freefall.  That's my idea.

Sounds like a very cool idea, I agree, but if you've looked at the Power Tower cable/wheel/guide system, a twist would probabaly require major redesign.....

All that work as far as redesigning,etc. It would totally be worth it !

With a 360 degree twist you would get quite a view of the other 2 or 3 towers, and an areal view of the park.

if it were i very gradual twist most of the way up it would work, just do a minor redesign of the wheel/guide system

I sent S & S an email on Labor Day at 4 am and received a response less than 6 hours later.  I was impressed.

There have been many people that have thought of this...I'm sure if it was possible, it would have been done by now. However, there may be some kind of prototype being tested.

The cables that run up the towers that support the cars have to run in a straight line. They would need a whole new way of supporting the cars. I don't know how much force it would exert on the riders, but I'm sure that if it did happen, then it would only twist once.

My idea for S&S would involve new seating positions.
How about seats where you face the ground (flying coasters) or face the sky??
Or facedown seats at an 45 degree angle towards the ground.
None of these would actually work (I don't think), but it might be an interesting new twist.
