AIR Lift - Almost Complete!

Checkout AIR.Rideas for the pics!  The coaster track seems to be black, not green.  Maybe it's just for the lift.

Hmmm...doesn't look like the lift hill's launched.   Oh well, still looks like it will be an amazingly thrilling ride, light years beyond anything ever seen.

That looks awesome, I know its just the lift hill, but it looks relaxing to the eye, as all B&M's are.

If they hall butt would they be able to finish construction by December or is that kinda streching it? They finished X in about 3 months, but then again that was a prototype.

The track is green. Very dark green. People think that the original B:TR is black, but in fact it's very dark blue. B&M must love very dark paint.

They don't need it complete by december though - as long as it's all ready by march when the park opens its alright.

How tall is that lift? It  looks pretty short to me.

But, as a big fan of Vekoma, and B&M, aren't B/M/W just remaking the dutchman, but getting a load of credit for it? YES... it probably will be smoother, generally more stylish and eventually more efficient regarding capacity, but this is nothing new is it?

Ah, but if you want to take that line of reasoning, then one could argue that everyone is just remaking Arrow's old designs.  (That's taking it to the extreme, but it should get my point across).

I see your point, but I think B&M DO deserve a lot of credit, if AIR turns out to be a success.  Vekoma may have been first to market with the concept of a "flying coaster", but if B&M can actually make it WORK then they DO deserve credit.

Acually, B&M thought of the idea for a flying coaster before Vekoma. Vekoma just made their's quicker.

I guess that B&M are basically doing for flying coasters what they did for sit down coaster, making them smoother, better and more enjoyable. I appreciate that loads of people keep saying that B&M have been developing this concept for much longer than Vekoma, etc... but hey, does it matter who did what as long as the final ride (in this case Air) is great?

Yes,B&M thought up everything on rollercoasters looping,stand up,steel sitdown,mine rides.

They developed everything from Magnum XL200,DF,to MF,but was to booked on their 2000+ coaster contract that they signed with every single amusement park in the world.

I can't wait till B&M's X opens at SFMM,everybody knows that Arrow stole that idea from B&M,along with the 750 fishhook coaster to everything they can think up.

I agree that AIR doesn't yet seem revolutionary compared to the Flying Dutchman, although riders load underneath the track and also go up the lift-hill that way.  That doesn't make it a completely different type of coaster, of course, but I'm sure it will be better.  I can't see it being better than Nemesis though!

I think that there might be somethin special about this coaster (as stated by the park's general manager, that there is supposed to be a surprise). I think the the paint scheme could be glow in the dark. But thats just what I think.

The green paint that we saw in the first track shipment pictures is just an undercoating.  It's similar to a primer.  The theme of AIR is supposed to be dark and evil.  It's like war in the air.  It'll be soooooo awesome.  check out coasterforce.com.   They have a little thing written about it.
