It's simple design was what made it so fun, and I didn't ride it enough this year. I think Six Flags, Inc could just as easily keep it on property and still build a new coaster next year. Instead of having 9 coasters, they could have 10.

If the ride is going to be replaced by an Impulse coaster, then I can see the logic in removing the Viper. But I really don't see that happening, simply because the park added a shuttle (read: low capacity) this year and can't see them doing the same next year. Then again, who said the ride is being removed for another coaster?
I'm moving to Mexico!

Going back to your comment about SFGAm doing two shuttles in one year, I look at it this way... together, V2 and Deja Vu were THE new attraction for the 2001 season. if you look at the Deja Vu installations this year, they were all part of a larger investment. SFMM built Deja Vu along with X and Goliath Jr. SFGAm constructed Deja Vu and V2. SFOG added Deja Vu and Acrophobia. In my opinion, Deja Vu was never seem as something big enough to be a park's only 2001 addition, so they were added with other rides.
Yes, SFOG MIGHT do two shuttles in a row, but I doubt it. I think they need something bigger and more promotable. And like I mentioned earlier, who is to say it will even be replaced by a coaster?
No, the park doesn't know where it's going.
No, their not saying why either.
