$$$ Coaster Trains $$$

What's the most Expensive coaster train? I would think X cause it's the most technologically advanced but X has only 7 rows. B&M's hyper coasters have 9 rows plus those are huge trains! But then theres Dueling Dragons trains which we really don't have to say musch about with all it's themeing right?
I agree with you about X and B&M hypers, but not Duelling Dragons. I think the themeing wasn't expensive, and it is just a regular inverted coaster train. Its plastic stuff they put on.

Yeah it's just that plastic stuff that covers the wheels.  IMO the type that are over Raptor's wheels look really cool.  The wheel's seem so much bigger up close.
My guess would be a Flying Dutchman's train. If you've ever gotten a close look at those things, there are a ton of onboard computers. Not to mention all of the moving parts involved with the seat reclining.

I think that the most expensive trains would either be the X trains or Flying Dutchman trains. The flyers have an onboard computer that is activated somehow on the station (anyone know how?)

"I want to go on something more exciting than X"
Don't forget B&M Dive Machine trains. I thought those were incredibly expensive (not to mention cool).

We wouldn't forget the dive machine trains so quickly if there were one in the US...j/k.  I agree about X and FD trains.  A cool note about DD trains - they had to take a few "teeth" out of Fire and Ice because asome early guests were hitting their heads on them while boarding.  (This from a ride op).  As far as other expensive trains, I'll add Millenium Flyers, although I sadly haven't ridden any yet.  I think when I DO get to ride some, I WILL like 'em.

I would think that the Flying Dutchman trains are even more expensive than the X trains.  I'm not sure how the onboard computers communicate with the fixed electronics, but I understand that there is actually more than one computer (Actually PLCs) on board and they are networked.
what about the trains on MF and SteelDragon2000, wouldn't they have to be built special cause of the speed they travel at.  Also what about the trains for Superman The Escape at SFMM.

I can't remember exactly, Oblivion's trains were about $200,000 each and there are 6 or 7 of them!

When I visited Gold Reef City in South Africa, the Giovanola Inverted, Anaconda, was & still is running one train. The capacity was terrible & I asked the park manager about this. He said that's right & they intend to purchase another train once they have the cash. The cost? 6million Rand which equals $750,000!

Flying Dutchman have to be the most, they seat 24 and are almost as large as a B&M 32 seater! It's real cool to look down while your in the up right possition and look at all the computers, electrical boxes and wires each row has! Those restraints are also massive. I know the reclining happens mostly in the station but the seats still recline and have to stay that way!
Acording to my friend, X's trains each are around $350,000. B&M inverted trains are about $250,000.

actually i read that the oblivion trains were 600,000 a peice, but i think thats in pounds, i dont know what the exchange is these days, but i know the trains started out with a 6, and it sure as hell aint 6,000!

I wonder how much the LIM powered trains cost? Also if it's possible to order a B&M inverted test seats like the ones that are in front of the Batman the Ride coasters?

-----------------

Well I assume MF were expensive, seeing as they weighed 28 tons!

I thought that the force's trains only weighed 19 tons.
