What's the deal with sfmm's park map?

I was just looking @ this years map a little closer and noticed that they just can't draw!! I hate to say it,but they shouldn't need to know how to draw in order to know not to put a loop on the lift hill of B:TR, or that goliath isn't more than 3/4 the height of S:TE, or that X does have a lift hill! I mean sfmm is my favorite park due to  the amense amount of coasters , but come on( I've never been to a theme park outside of california-exept florida)! I mean they can spend millions @ a time for coasters, but can't add some acurate detail on their park maps? I know this isn't a big deal, but I see other park maps and their's are more acurate than mm's. It's just bother some that's all. I just feel like parks should pay some attention to the finer details like this and themeing-thats all. Does anyone else fell this way or have noticed these things?

Sigh, must we say again that park maps aren't supposed to be perfectly accurate representations of the park? They are used for directions, and that's all. If that bothers you, then you have some problems.

 Like I said I know there not supossed to be completly accurate, but come on a loop on a lift hill?? Any one knows that unrealistic so why put it there?

Probably because it doesn't matter, the GP won't notice or care, and it's a lot easier/cheaper to draw it like it is than make it perfectly accurate to the ride.

I think it's a great map compared to a ton of other park maps i've seen. I.E. Cedar Point, SFAW and countless others.

You ever look at SFGAdv's map?  It's the same dang thing!  Viper doesn't have rings all throughout the course!  GASM is made of two separate loops of track!  The station leads directly into the corkscrews and the lift hill is all alone leading to the rest of the ride!  It doesn't bother me...I actually laugh at how pathetic they are!

Park maps are almost like caricatures of rides and coasters.  It's almost a sort of humor drawn into them.  It shows the features of a ride thay stand out.  They are there to provide the general location of the park, and give you a general idea of what the ride looks like, so you can recognize it.

The Cedar Point 1998 season map was SO VERY ACCURATE that it's not even funny. Most of their ride's layouts are completely accurate, those including Mantis and Raptor, even with their very complex twister-like layouts.

I find them entertaining to look at. Rolling Thunder at SFGAdv is shown with a little hill, then a bigger one, then an even bigger one, when it should be the opposite. Medusa's cobra roll looks like a tophat. Chiller looks more like Joker's Jinx than the cobra roll, and the tophat is twisted. Batman has three inversions. GASM is facing the wrong direction. The two consecutive loops should be parallel to the entrance gate, and they are perpendicular. Nitro looks more like Superman The Escape with a vertical lift hill. Viper is just two parallel lines that have righs around it. There are so many things wrong with the map, it is funny. If I owned a park, I would want the map as accurate as possible because thats how I am. I am like a perfectionist.

on the SFMM map, the only rides that are exactly like the ride layouts are Viper, Superman:TE, Flashback, and Goliath..the others are very odd..Deja Vu's boomerang goes through the loop..i find it funny, but i couldnt really care less about them

No, the Goliath layout is not accurate (other than the drop, turn-around and bunny hop). Colossus is more accurate than Goliath, that being said in replacement to Goliath.

sfmm has too many rides and coasters, and unless they turn the map into roadmap size, the drawings will have to remain silly charicatures of the actual rides.
