Does anyone have a picture of a sea serpent?
I prefer a cobra roll over a sea serpent (comparing Medusa's sea serpent to Invertigo's cobra roll). Because Medusa's Sea Serpent is too spread out.

I've ridden Raptor's cobra roll and Medusa's sea serpent and I have to say I prefer the cobra roll. The sea serpent was too spread out between the inversions. I also like the quick change of direction during a cobra roll, which the sea serpent lacks.
Cobra Roll : Creates more lateral forces, since you change directions mid-way.

Sea Serpent : Smoother, but makes you a little more dizzy and disoriented.

I would like the sea serpent on Medusa West better if the length of track between the half-corkscrews was a little shorter, like a normal cobra roll. It is enlongated to lead into the exit, which doesn't run directly behind the sea serpent, but about 30 degrees to the left towards the brake run.

Overall I think cobra rolls are better. Which is weird because they've been around the longest, besides corkscrews and loops.

I think the Cobra Roll has become rather over-used and therefore has lost some its charm. The Sea Serpent is (currently) a one of a kind (the Vekoma SLC's double rollover is NOT the same as a Sea Serpent) and adds to the overall uniqueness of Medusa West. The SS is just one more reason that Medusa W. is the perfect looper (IMO).
