What would you rather have and why? Hyper or wood

What would you rather have as your parks next coaster? A hyper or a woodie? My home park is the almighty Six Flags Magic Mountain and I think they need a new woodie badly. Plus they just got 2 hypers in a row (Goliath, X.)

they came very close to a hyper inverted with deja.
But to answer your question a think a good hyper kills any woodie any day . I  mean being lifted over 200 hundred feet and be droped at over 80 miles an hour. Nothing compares to the hyper expirience

A Hyper!:) I still love wood but I have to agree with SFMM02 that nothing compares to the hyper experience!!

It depends on your park needs, as you suggested. However, assuming that my park had neither I would have to choose a hyper. It is a matter of personal preference though. I love the speed and awesome drops of a hyper, I like woodies too just not as much.
I can't help it. I love the wooden coasters the best. Indiana has four CCI's and if I had to vote; I would take another one. I love them. But I also love the all the different types of  steel coasters, including the hypers; you can do so much more with them and I hope there are always new inovations in the coaster industry using steel. I am so confused that I don't know what I want. But is the SOB actually a hyper wooden coaster, so are they not one in the same now?

By the may SSMMmaniac, I would definatly look for magic mountain to add a woodie this year or next as well as Cedar Point.

Something Funny And Witty Goes Here
Hmmm....I love the woodie experience, yet the feeling of a large drop always gives me a rush. But i would only say a hyper if it is longer than 6000 feet.  If it's not, i'll go with the mighty wooden coaster.

Woodies RULE, but they must be good ones, NO trim brakes, just like SRM.  Hypers are cool too, (haven't ridden ANY Morgans yet, but from what I've heard I'm not missing too much until they replace their trains).  I prefer Intamins over B&Ms but certainly haven't ridden enough of either to tell for sure yet.  And Gio's Goliath had all the positive G's a woddie-lover like me looks for.  Even Arrow's Magnum has aged well (better than Steel Phantom, apparently).  But of all the woodies I've ridden, the only disppointing rides have been RWB and the newly-emasculated Mean Streak, which wouldn't have been so bad had I not experienced it in its previous incarnation. Overall, woodies just get it for me, but I love hypers too...Can't I just get a smooth-running train on SOB and get the best of both!

Since my hometown park has pretty much both of hyper and a woodie, I would like to see a inverted at VF which are my favorites they do pack a punch!
How bout both? I love SOB, and I would like to see PKI build another hyper woodie, only this time have a loop into a cobra roll instead of the second helix.
