Brady Bunch at PKI

I was just watching the Brady Bunch, and it was a pop-up video show. The pop-up told us that they were at Paramount Kings Island, anyone else ever seen this episode?

Welcome back riders, how was your ride...Enjoy your day, here at Cedar Point, America's roller coast.
I saw it a while ago. PKI has changed a lot since that episode.
I was just thinking about that episode :)

I was planning on watching it on Wednesday, but I missed it. I'm sure it was interesting. Can anyone tell me more about the episode. Is it worth discussing?

I saw the episode. The kids ride the Racer and there is some brown wooden coaster in the back ground. Anyone know the name of this coaster?
The ONLY other woodie ever at PKI (Beast and SOB came later), according to rcdb.com, is the Beastie (at that point it was called Scooby Doo).  When dad says near the end "let's take a ride on the rollercoaster", I'm thinking THE rollercoaster?!?  What a classic line - definitely a "must-see" episode for enthusiasts.  They showed the whole episode during CoasterCamp - LOTS of PKI history in there...the log flume from Coney, teacups, a scrambler ride, ALL still up and running. And John Allen's PKI Racer, a piece of coasting history rivaled by the CI Cyclone and FEW others.

I was watching the episode tonight as well. Very cool with the pop-ups added.
Was it better then when Marsha got hit in the nose with a football? If anyone knows when the PKI episode airs again, please post it, I am anxious to see it for myself.

There is no need to SCREAM. We all hear you just fine.

That would be The Racer. :)

My family lived in Cincinnati for a very short time during the early 1970's. I was 12 years old when the Brady episode was filmed at PKI. I was there that day, and let me say what a crowd there was, everyone trying to see the Brady clan. About a month after the Brady's, ABC had the Partridge Family there to film an episode and I was there for that also. Again that was a day that the park was packed. That was in the days when Taft Braodcasting Co. (a subsidiary of ABC) owned the park. The "racing" coaster refered to above was the Racer.
I think its funny that they claim that the Racers go 61 MPH. Maybe it did back in the day, but it has been clocked at 56. Go figure.
