Deja Vu...all over agan, this time at SFoG

At the announcement of the August 25th, Saturday opening of the world's first Vekoma 'Giant Inverted Boomerang' (GIB) in Valencia, California, coaster enthusiasts let out a big sigh of relief. After months of delays due to construction issues and problems, Six Flags Magic Mountain debuts Deja Vu in their Psyclone Bay portion of the park. But it seems we're getting another hint of Deja Vu, down in Georgia this time. Scheduled to open Labor Day weekend 2001, the second european GIB coaster will open to the public on September 1, 2001. This, the Atlanta Journal reported this morning (8/24/01). Get your engines fueling cause here they come!
Finally. Here's a link to the story.

What is life without ups and downs!?!?

I just submitted this as a news item.
Sweeeeet!  I'm going to SFoG sometime before they close for the season.  Gotta use those SF annual passes before they run out.  Jill isn't easy to convince, I've had her criss-crossing the country for 2 years riding coasters (about 100  since 7/99), she's worn a LITTLE thin on it.  But now that I've got her signed up on cb, I'm hoping you all can get her enthusiasm revivied a bit.  I wanted a new coaster to add, but felt Acrophobia was worth the trip if Deja Vu wasn't up yet.  Can't help it I've got this weird  "feeling" I've ridden it before, LOL...

Maybe it is me but that article did not tell when Deja Vu in Ga. is going to open. I guess if you would count back eight weeks than sept. first would be the opening day, but till the park tells us when then we will have to just sit and wait.

It would be nice though.

Well, that was the Atlanta Journal wasn't it? Why would they say anything about SFGAm's Deja Vu all the way in Chicago, Illinois? Plus, there's only an article when a park says the ride is going to open on a certain date. So you would obviously know that SFGAm is not ready to open theirs yet.

Cool !
The ride will open on September 1st. I'll be there for Media Day on August 30 and that is why I'm sure it will open.

I am extremely glad that SFoG is getting Deja Vu because they needed a popular coaster to jump up their annual percentage of public. You do not hear that much about SFoG so I bet this is going to make it a lot more popular, being that their last coaster was the Georgia Scorcher, why don't we hear anything about that coaster?
What SFoG really needs is a really good custom designed coaster that will put them on the map. True, the collection that they have is great, but how many times do you see a SFoG ride on The Discovery Channel? Only after getting Acrophobia were we even mentioned on the last show. SFoG needs a coaster that is of good enough quality to be put on a coaster video. That would be cool. I can think of a couple that from that last video (DVD) that could be replaced. :)
