God Bless CCI :o)

Just got back from a trip to New Orleans to visit my brother and went to Jazzland!  Thank you to everyone that recommended me going there to catch their CCI, Mega Zeph.  I had no idea they were that great!  The rating Mega Zeph got on this website is definitely justified!!

I guess just because a coaster is only a little over 100 feet tall doesn't mean that it can't completely dominate you for the entire ride!  It never let up!

Mega Zeph was my FIRST CCI, it won't be the LAST!   :o)

My next coaster trip will revolve around experiencing the best of CCI. I can't wait. After Ghostrider and Cornball, I'm a fanatic!

I went to HW just to ride Raven & The Legend because of how great CCI's are. Boy I was blown away! They bash you around, and have non-banker curves...They just make you feel like your riding the coasters of yesteryear!

I admit <a bit sheepishly now> that when I used to watch rollercoaster shows on the Discovery/Travel Channel that I used to roll my eyes when they'd highlight whatever new CCI coaster came out.  For I (in my opinion) had ridden the end all, be all, of wooden coasters The Beast!
Amazing how perspective can quickly be altered in about 2 minutes and change on a good coaster, huh?

Now you need to check out Tremors, Timber Terror, and Boulder Dash.  I personally haven't ridden BD, but since I have ridden many other CCI's, I could say with assurance that BD rocks.  It looks beautiful, and there is a nice front seat video on the parks site.

My first ride on the Beast came after Cornball and Ghostrider. I was less than blown away by my first ride. However, the Beast at night still holds it's own. But I must say, Cornball and Ghostrider are examples of what all coasters should aspire to be.

Add another to the CCI fanatics list.  I just finished writing them a letter of praise.  Wow, sending fan mail to a coaster company...what on earth is my problem???  I need to go out and see a movie with my friends or something...

Shivering Timbers and the Cornball Express did it for me, by the way.  After riding those, I don't think I can ever again enjoy a Summers-Dinn woodie the same way I used to.

       the Coaster Gods blessed us with Ghostrider here in South Cali. I really want to ride Cornball, but where is it.

  For those who haven't rode a cci, they haven't experienced coaster euphoria.

The Cornball Express is located at Indiana Beach. Its one of my favorite wooden coasters!

All I can say is "Support the parks with good coasters". Not only does CCI make good coasters, but they design cheap coasters that small parks can afford. I think that is the best part of this story. All we need is for all parks to catch on. Perhaps even some other coaster companies will realize that size isn't nearly as important as the overall experience. I may not believe in God, but God bless them anyway! ;)

I got my first chance to "experience" a CCI with the best. The Raven and The Legend were awesome!. I prefered The Legend myself. There are several CCI's around me, it's just the act of getting to the parks that is hard.

I have to try to get on one without Gerstlauer trains pretty soon. Ive been on Hurricane Category 5 and Villain, and they were both awesome.

Anyone know what the rolling stock on Mega Zeph is?  The lap bar, although it had some leniency as to how far down to went, gave me bruises on my thighs.  Small price to pay, but you can get beat up without the lap bar doing it to you.  :o)

Mega Zeph has Gerstaulers (sp) trains I think. They are not quite the same as the ones on Villian, but they are definately not PTC's. I have been on 6 CCI creations, and all are awesome! I wish more would get built out West where I live.
