patches

I downloaded the drexler patch, than the swiss army knife trainer. It worked for a week, than whenever I tried it said: GAME INITIALIZATION failed, bad data! I couldn't play it any more! I reinstalled it but I lost all my progress and I don't want to install the patch again? What should I do? Did I install the trainer wrong or is it my version of the game?

im guessing it was the trainer. the drexler patch allows trainer useage... but it dosent protect them from damaging the game. I'd suggest a more stable trainer by TRG... or no trainer
