What's preventing

How is Ultra Coaster 3D being protected? I'm suprised that no one has pirated the game and left it out for free on some web site. Is there a way that the software is protected or are people just really honest? I guess this applies for every game.

I'm not sure, I don't have the game. One way of protecting something is to have it connect to the company's web site every once in a while to check if your copy is pirated...if it is, watch out! I hope it's not something similar to the MS Office 2000 / Academic Edition software, if I buy the game. When you install it you have connect to the internet or call them to get a code, and you only get two installs!

You notice notice that when you dowload it, install it and open it it comes up as a shortcut. hmmmm.
