SFGAm- all rollercoasters in one day?

I am going to SFGAm this Sunday. I was wondering if anyone has been able to go on all ten SFGAm roller coasters in one day on a summer weekend? Me and my friend plan to try to go on all ten but are only fear is it will be too crowded. We also don't want to get the fastlane pass. Is it achievable?

Sure, It shouldnt be that hard at all. If you get there early either ride V2 or Whizzer as both will have lines all day. Bypass Shockwave if it has a long line, it will be a walk on late in the day. The raging Bull line moves quickly. The Viper line looks longer than it is. American Eagle is a people eater ditto with Demon. And B:TR & IW, well those you will have to wait for.

Its possible, in fact, i do it every time i go there, and i usually go on Raging Bull 3 or 4 times, and V2 twice, as Arrow Guy and 2Hostyl said, pick the slower lines early, and then go on the other rides, catch Batman towards the end of the day, it usually has a 15 minute wait near closing time, Iron Wolf usually has a 30 minute wait, but earlier in the day it can be shorter, and Raging Bull will usually have a 30 minute wait, Demon is about 20 minutes, Shockwave is 5-15 minutes, Viper is usually half an hour, American Eagle is usually 5 minutes, and Deja Vu...oh wait, never mind;)

Get to the park early. "The running of the bulls" will happen to Vertical Velocity. Go to V2 first and run your *** off! Once you did that, try to hit Batman: The Ride after and then Iron Wolf and the coasters in the back of the park. Raging Bull is a short line with three trains running. After hitting the coasters in the back area of the park, go for Shockwave and Whizzer.

Note - Get the fastlpass after Batman: The Ride.

It's definitely possible. While I have never done it, that is just because I only go for half-days at a time thanks to the season pass. But I would never had thought it was possible until I did it at CP last year (including 2 rides on MF totalling 2 1/2 hours in line), and that was with an hour delay due to rain. If you keep your mind on your goal, you shouldn't have a problem.

I have done every ride one time plus V2 twices, Raging Bull 3 times, Viper twice, American Eagle twice, and even a log ride. Here's the trick. Hope you like to run because the slowest lines in the park are all together. Dash to V2 when it opens, as soon as you get off of that, go to Batman right after. When your done with Batman, run to Iron Wolf. Once you get on those three, you should have been in the park for 2 hours the most. Once you get those three done, your set. American Eagle is next. If it's before 12, only one side will be running, so you'll have an average wait there. After the Eagle I like to eat, because by this time, it is PACKED. So I wait untill about 2-3 so crowds die down just a little. I go to Demon next. After Demon you go into S.W. Territory and get on the Bull and Viper. By then it should be 6 or 7, and all you have left is Shockwave and Whizzer. Complete the circle by going on Whizzer, and then walking on Shockwave. By then you have gotten on every ride, and have a few hours left for more.

It's that simple... :)

All I know is we plan on going on Demon and Shockwave at night because those are walk-on rides. The other thing that worries me is that V2 won't be open in the morning. I went on Memorial Day and it was not opened till noon. If it is closed I don't know if I should wait.

When I went on Shockwave, the wait was 1 hour and 30 minutes because a ride op messed up the transfer track to put another train on the track. It took 20 minutes to get to problem fixed. God that WAS NOT FUN!!

Make sure your in shape because you'll need it when you run to V2 right when the park employees opens the back section of the park.

I avoid weekends at SFGAm like the plague, but I imagine it is possible. I was there on a Friday recently, and it was very crowded - possibly the most crowded I have ever seen it. By 1pm, the inner parking lots were totally full, and the outer parking lots were about 1/2 full.

We got there at 1pm, and managed to ride Raging Bull 3 times, V2 twice, and the Orbit, Shockwave, Giant Drop, Viper all once. We would have gotten on Batman too, if it weren't for a ride op nit picking about it already being past closing (there were still people in line, and I'm sure there would have been at least 2 empty seats on that last train) ;) This includes a 3 hour wait for V2 while it was broken down.

Considering that I usually ride every coaster twice, and the good ones 3 or 4 times on weekdays (often not arriving to the park until early afternoon), I think riding all the coasters is a possibility. Just get there early...following the suggestions mentioned above may help too, but I usually just go in a circle and ride 'em as I see 'em.

Also, reconsider the FastLane pass - not only could it help you get on the everything once (especially the ones with the really long lines), but it can make a good day even better by letting you ride them again !

(and with V2 overheating all the time, you could easily waste 2+ hours if breaks while you are in line - the FastLane pass will make up for that)

2 hours? I'd hate to be in that line. I'm going to ride it for the first time on Monday, so how long will the lines be (hoping that it doesn't break down)

If you follow jeremy's plan, you shouldn't have a problem. I go every summer for my work picnic, and it's on a Saturday in August. We're always able to get in all the coasters once (two or more times for most) and a bunch of flat rides. From my experience at Great America, they do a really good job handling the large crowds they get, and the lines (even though they appear long) will move steadily all day.

Hmm...it's been awhile since I've been on a Monday, but it is probably like other weekdays.
I would expect about an hour if it doesn't break down. Maybe less, depending on what time of day you ride (early morning, and late night are best).

If you want to know if I was able to do it, read my trip reports entitled "SFGAm 8-12-01 part 1" and "SFGAm 8-12-01 part 2." It is 2 parts because it would be too long if it was one part.

I've never been to SFGaM, but I've to SFMM in the summer and I can hit all of their coasters on a summer day, but you better plan on getting up early and staying until the park closes. So. California has a much larger population than Gurnee, Illinois, so I'm assuming the park might also be much less crowded than then what I'm used to at SFMM.

Its easy to hit every coaster at sfgam
