Kennywood lines

Kennywood is my homepark (35 mins. away) and Ive only been there once this year in early May. This is going to sound stupid since its my home park but what are the lines like and what do you think I should hit when I get there?

I went just this last weekend, and the lines were TERRIBLE. The line for Phantoms Revenge was always 1hr. or more. The ops were lazy and wouldnt let people enter into the station, leaving you in the sun for ever. The worst line was the for the Racer. It didnt even move. Jack Rabbit and Thunderbolt were really moving fast, so was the Pitfall. Just go after 5:00. The lines really moved pretty fast b/c so many people had left. But be Safe go after 5:00. And remeber only ONE train, runs on the Revenge.

You should definitely try to go on a weekday. Not only are the ride-all-day passes a few bucks cheaper, but the lines are a bit shorter.

However, in all the years I have been going to Kennywood, the waits have never been terribly bad. Exterminator and Phantom's revenge can be an hour or more, unless you get there early and hit them first. As for everything else, it shouldn't be more than an hour.
The ride ops aren't "lazy" for not letting you up. There's a reason they don't want people just standing in line on that bridge, and that reason is because people will throw things off that bridge. By letting them up a few trainloads at a time, people are more worried about getting into the station and on the coaster than they are about pelting John Q. Guest with M&Ms. Please, don't just start putting blame on the staff and calling ops "lazy" when you don't have enough knowledge to make an informed opinion.

And yes. Definitely go on a weekday, if at all possible. Try to check Kennywood.com for days that may be a nationality day or a big group picnic (Girl Scout Day, Cheerleader Day [though you might want to go to that one ;)], etc.) Those are general rules of thumb I use...

I went on a weekday and found the lines for most coasters to be pretty reasonable. The flat rides were a different story. Oh, they still weren't huge but I'm just not used to waiting 15 minutes for a flat ride. Maybe it had something to do with the large number of young children there that day.

The lines this time of year during a weekday shouldn't be bad. In May and June, they may be longer because of the school picnics.

The lines usually move very quickly, and rarely have I experienced otherwise. All the lines for the wooden coasters move exteremely quickly, but Phantom's Revenge and Exterminator tend to have longer lines.
