Coasters being built entirely over water

With all of the new coaster designs in recent years, I think this is a very good possiblity. I believe there is a coaster project called "The Swine" in the UK That is to be built over the ocean?

What do you guys think?>

That sounds awsome. Isnt there a roller coaster that goes underwater? It goes in a tube or something like that.

SFMM went from Amusment Park to Xtreme Park.They skipped Theme park :)

Xtreme: I am not sure about that. My only concern would be if they built one over water, particulary in the Northern part of the US or on the coastal " Hurricane Alley" areas of the east coast or Gulf Coast if there would be any damage from wind, rain or ice.

Speaking of Hurricanes, anyone in the path of Tropical Storm Barry?

Well you could be thinking of anaconda at PKD that goes through an underwater concrete tunnel or there is a coaster in another country which dives into a refelcting pool its pretty cool but I cant find a pic anywhere.

In all fairness, I believe that Lake Charles is manmade. I flew over it last winter and it was drained. (Probably for the new paint job it got over the winter. Do they drain the lake every off season?)

I do believe Lake Charles is manmade.

I think they need to put a new coaster there. I did not like this coaster. It was rough and the restraints were easy to "shake" thinking that they might be too loose

During the fall and winter months, when excessiver rainfall is likely, these lakes are kept relatively low. It is called "winter pool". This way the lake can hold excessive rainfall or the melt off of snow until the creeks and rivers recede. -------------

Here are some photos of the Hoosier Hurricane at Indiana Beach while Lake Shafer was drained. This ride travels over the water until the turnaround.

There's a speed slide at Atlantis in Nassau that goes through a tube that is under water with sharks and other dangerous animals, it's awesome. For coasters the only one i know of is Anaconda, Vortex at PKI should have water under it.
