Theme Park Parades

Very popular seem to be at Disney World. But what do you guys out here in buzzworld think>?

I think they are kind of neat, and I have considered this for Abundant Grace Park

A New Hoosier Theme Park, Abundant Grace Park, is on the horizion!

I thought that the one at Magic Mountain was cute, if not a bit outdated. I mean, SpaceJam came out in 1996, right? But the parade seems to have a pretty good crowd every time I'm there.

I'd say if it's themed consistently, or at least seems to have a purpose, then it's great. Sometimes, the parades don't have much to do with anything, so those can kind of stink.

I think that parades add a good entertainment venue for the whole family, especially those individuals that don't care for riding coasters and such. On the other hand, the only thing I don't care for about parades is that if you're not interested in seeing it, it's a real pain to get around to go do other things in the park. But in general, they're a fine idea.

They seem like the thing to do in particular when it's close to park closing time. At the end of a day of riding I gotta tell ya just sitting down on my lazy bum is a good feeling:)

I think a parade adds a lot to the atmosphere of the park.

I think the parade helps the parks get a family atmosphere, like SFMM Looney Tunes Nites Parade

So do you guys think more "kiddie" parades at a park would be a good thing or better at least?

I'm addicted to the Main Street Electrical Parade a.k.a. Eletrical Parade. That music is sooooo addicting ;)

Where is it now? Disney's California Adventure? The other one went to Disney Paris, correct?

Someone previously mentioned that the parade at SFGAm was no more because someone got hit by the trolley/train - however it is still hapening - I've seen it twice this year. I suspect they only do it during the "busy season" (July and August).

I like the parades - not for entertainment, but because it shortens the lines a little when people go to watch them. Same thing with laser and firework shows.

I wonder how I could get a parade with a Christian Theme?:) Hmm maybe telling a story of the bible or something? Maybe depicting Noah's Ark or Christ's walk to be Crucified
