Texas worth a "Coaster Road Trip?"

My opinions are my opinions. And yes, IN MY OPINION Mega Zeph was better than ANYTHING I rode in Texas. Deal with it, we don't all agree with you.

And about the childish remark about smoking crack... "Dont feed the trolls.™"

"X" marks the spot in 2001!
I fully stand by my statement that I think you're on crack.

[shrug] MegaZeph is a decent coaster, but it's the ONLY good coaster in Louisiana. Texas has so many more...

Right On Brandon! Texas Cyclone is a top ten coaster for sure now! I have ridden it every year since it was built and it is riding as good as it ever has with the Morgan trains.
>Texas Cyclone is my new #1 woodie! Tada.

I take back every mean thing I ever said about you Brandon.

heh.. well, Steel Eel gives some GREAT "buttslammin'" airtime on the bunny hops (or should that be bummy hops?) Anywho.. Sorry about the rhododendrons.. no, wait, sorry, that's not right. What I meant to say is that steel eel has some pretty forceful throw you up, slam back down into your seat airtime, so I coined it "buttslammin' airtime" ... which indeed is my favourite type. =) I've only encountered this on two other steel coasters.... Magnum XL-200, and Superman Ride of Steel (SFA).

If you can- spend a day at Schlitterbahn, 1/2 hour from Fiesta Texas and 45 minutes from Sea World

Dude,Dude, Dude, Dude, Dude, Dude.....Dude. I've guess you've got a point there.

WASSUP!
I would not say that Mega Zeph is better than Titan or Superman KC because I would not compare a woodie to a steelie. But I do think that the Mega Zeph is better than ALL of the woodies in Texas. In my opinion, anyone that puts the Texas Giant into their top ten is on crack. At least the Mega Zeph does'nt have a trim brake on its first drop. Plus Mega Zeph has lots of airtime.

At this very second I'd agree with you... TG runs quite horribly in the summer, but much better at the beginning/end of the season. Texas Giant seems to be a seasonal woodie, and right now its menstruating.

When I rode TG tuesday it was running great. A little rough, but just normal woodie rough. And it was about the same all day. Ya just never know how it's going to run in the summer. Can't wait till my Ohio/HW trip next summer to ride more wooden coasters.

Wouldn't "buttslammin" technically be positive G's? Or are you talking about when the airtime is over and your butt gets slammed back into the seat?

Sorry, couldn't help myself. ;)

The following statement is true.
The preceding statement is false.
>Wouldn't "buttslammin" technically be positive G's? Or are you talking about when the airtime is over and your butt gets slammed back into the seat?

Okay, true.. it's when the positive g's pull you back down and you slam into your seat.

Having ridden Steel Eel 27 times over the last weekend I can confirm the "buttslammin" and I have the bruises to prove it. Not that I plan to show any of you my rear end.lol!

I haven't ridden Mega Zeph so I'll reserve comment on that. *** This post was edited by DAN-EL on 8/5/2001. ***
Panther Modern how recently have you ridden MegaZeph because now it kicks major a*s believe me.

"What's up from out of town"
Getting "buttslammed" doesn't sound appealing to me. Maybe another term would sound better.
I would say yeah
