Fall Parks?

To me the best time to go is in the fall,there is no lines,its not too hot,and its usually cheaper.What do you think is the best fall park?

SFMM, as there is NO ONE there on weekdays during fall, winter, or spring for that matter. It is also not a frying pan during the "coaster offseason" (Year-round parks on the west-side baby!). Although it is not cheaper, it gives you A LOT more for your money.

PKI. A buddy of mine went on a saturday last year in october, and he walked on the Beast and got two front row seats at night. I know once school gets in session, theres only one way to unwind: PKI!!!

Seems like SFMM is the best only due to the fact that during the summer the park is pretty much impossible to stand.

I went to Six Flags Ohio 2 years ago late summer in early September (maybe it was fall) and nothing was open. Everything was closed because of the lack of employees. When I went this year I was talking to an employee that said he was 15 so I guess most of their employees are young and have school. I dont know if its like that for other parks though. Even though there wasnt anyone there, there still werent enough employees for everything to be open.

A lot of seasonal parks hire college students, and staffing is always a problem. This is why CP is only open on the weekends in September - declining attendence (families with children have them go back to school as well - vacations over!) and declining employees. Rides need a minimum # of people to run, it doesn't matter how many guests are or aren't there - if you don't have the 4-5 employees, you can't open the ride. Plus someone to give them breaks, etc.

It depends...in September, most parks are great to go to because there is no one there. However, many parks, including all the Six Flags parks (at least on the east coast) have some sort of Halloween celebration in October. These draw the crowds back to the parks before they close for the season. It if fun to go to these events, but it is extremely crowded then and if you just want to get on the coasters, it makes it hard to do.

Last year I went to CedarPoint during octoberfest and went on all of the coasters 4-times each in the front seat!So we went on all of the flat rides that I normally don't bother with.

I go to SFMM a lot during the offseason. I think its ten times as fun. no lines
