Just yesterday I could've sworn I saw a coaster on RCDB that opened recently after 10 years of delays and modifications. I've spent 10 minutes looking for it just now but I can't find it.

I was shocked that they opened Hypersonic on time. Considering it was the first of its kind.

I'm not, S&S actually spent the time to make a good prototype, unlike Vekoma...

Yeah, Hypersonic was actually heavily tested at the S&S factory. They even had a press event to let the media and park execs ride it.

Well, the Main One was Superman The Escape, I believe it was delayed for a year because on the first ever test run, It went 2 Meters, they had to complety re-design the Magnets that Launch the Trains.
Test Track was delayed for 1-2 years, never knew the reason, but heard it was due to a Lot of technical problem
Dont forget about Volcano The Blast Coaster, I think this was dealayed for a good 3-4 months, It had constant problems with the weight of the trains, the Launch System, and Problems with the Volcano, It was only due to some quick thinking to reduce the size of the trains, that it finally worked and opened heavily behind schedule.

I think people are forgetting Project Stealth at PGA. Wasn't it delayed for like 2 years due to problems such as:
1) Seats would go back on the lift hill
2) Testing took longer than expected
3) Uhh....can't remember the other thing
It sorta seems that Vekoma has problems with their prototypes doesn't it?

I could be wrong but I believed they built Stealth a year ahead of time on purpose to test it, I could be wrong but I think it was done on purpose can anyone add more on that one?

Stealth was built a year ahead of time. That is true...but it was so they could work all of the possible kinks out. Also, will everyone STOP wondering when they will get the trains to recline on the lift hill?! It didn't happen on Stealth, hence it WILL NOT, NOR EVER happen on Batwing, X-Flight, or any future Vekoma flying coasters! The computer that does it is in the station and located under the track in the station. Not on the lift. It will never happen!

B&R:TC was only open 3 days in '97, and finally opened in June '98.

This may be a dumb question, but what do you mean by "recline on the lift hill?"

Test Track hardly does anything. What kind of mechanical problems could they of had with it? In case you care, I have ridden it before.

TonyFL, X-Flight, along with Stealth and Batwing, is a Vekoma Flying Coaster. When you are in the station, the seats are upright and you get all strapped in. Before you leave the station, the seats recline and you are left on your back facing outwards. The press releases claimed that the seats wouldn't recline until the were rising the lift hill, but Vekoma never worked that part in. Instead, they placed the mechanism in the station...the only place it could be put into. When Stealth opened, everyone was questioning when it would work on the lift...and when X-Flight and Batwing opened, the same thing happened...and this time they won't realize that it will never happen. It just starts to get on my nerves after a while.

X-Flight and Batwing can recline on the lift. Think of an electric train with the third electric rail sending electricity to the train. Thats how it is on the lift of X-Flight and Batwing. There is a track that runs along both sides of the lift and a contact paddle on both sides of the train. The track on the lift tells the seats when to recline. Now the reason they're not reclining on the lift yet, i dont know, but they should and might have it up and working some time soon. If u dont understand me, that's the best way i could describe it. If u dont believe me then i cant tell u anything else.
