SFDL and SFA supermans

are they running 2 trains yet? is there any progress. anyone got any info?

1.Fire Dragon, 2.Ice Dragon, 3.Raptor, 4.Kraken, 5.Batman Knight Flight
Yes, the wheels are complete and 2 trains are "capable" of running... (at least at SFDL)

...but of course SFDL is still dumb when it comes to using two trains... "How about we wait until 5 PM to put two trains on! That will really piss them off..."

lol, you get my point.. but yes 2 trains are now up and running, but whether they use them or not, thats a different story.

On Tuesday at SFDL they didnt put on a second train until 4:00 PM, tisk tisk tisk.

How is the DL version higher rated on Amusement Today than the SFA version?

PCW needs something taller than a boomerang
[bias target="sfa"]Probably because it's near water or something stupid like that.[/bias]

The following statement is true.
The preceding statement is false. *** This post was edited by Compressed Airhead on 8/2/2001. ***
SFA's was running two on this past Friday. Even with one train on SFA's, the line usually isn't that bad.

Excuse my ignorance, but why weren't they running two to begin with? When I was at SFA two and a half weeks ago, they were running two trains all day. Did something happen between then and now?

The SFNE version ALWAYS runs two trains, it is rated HIGHER than both is LONGER than both, FASTER than both, MORE INTENSE than both, TALLER than both It is rated # 1 in the world by park world magazine and yet is the most unvisited Superman. Sorry for turning this into a SFNE plug but its just not right. Too bad everyone is from Ohio on this site and nobody can back me up.

people are afraid to go to SFA or Rate the coasters High. SFA's ROS is well above SFDLs version simply because of the night ride experience........

Yeah I'd like to know the same thing. Two trains were running at DL when I was there last year.. But alot can happen in a year.

When I was up there to ride S:ROS in June there was only one train running.

Top 5 coasters:
1. The Beast 2. Millenium Force 3. The Incredible Hulk 4. Superman: ROS (SFNE) 5. Alpengeist
At SFDL that's the best ride and at SFA they do have a couple of other nice rides! PLEASE get another coaster next year at SFDL they need it BAD!

ALL CLEAR
the flat stretch over water on Superman is sweet. i love it. i love flat pieces of track. thats the best part of Dragon fyre at PCW

intamin fan. there are newer coasters then superman at SFA. and there is also a lot better rides. people will want to go on stuff other then superman. at SFDL no one goes on anything but superman

Calam down guys.. since when did this turn into a post about SFDL and SFA Superman comparisons+amusement todays...

2 weeks ago, both rides were only running one train because the wheels needed replacements, thats all. They have been replaced and its back to normal operation... chill!

FYI, I'm a New Yorker.
sfne guy: I am from NE and have been to SFNE and will go again real soon and yes I believe their S:ROS is the better of the three but I don't know it for sure never having ridden the other two and yes I, too, have seen only 1 train operation at SFNE which burns me to no end and I hope they are running two on 8/15 for my next visit. Anywho...soemtimes I think you do need to chill. Who said they were against you here? The topic had nothing to do with SFNE so maybe you shouldn't have contributed anything (as I myself have just added to the fire).

I know you rider Gonna miss me when I'm gone
Is it also true that the SFA version of Superman doesn't have mist running at the bottom of the first drop?

At SFDL, they do... and if there is no wind, it can linger and float into the 2nd helix as well, giving you a double bonus!!

I disagree with the argument that because they're mirros they should be ranked in the same position. Take the ravine away from Phantom's Revenge, what do you have? Take Lake Erie away from Magnum, what do you have? And the same would go for SFDL's lake, as far as I'm concerned.

Take Lake Erie away from Magnum and you would still have the second hill, the third hill, the perfect set of bunnies, the perfectly positioned tunnels, in short one of the best steel coasters in the world.

I agree with Sam that I would rate SFA's SROS higher than SFDL's. As Sam said the night time riding experience is incredible.
