SFGAM/SFWOA?
I'm going to Cedar Point on a friday in september, and planning on going to another park on saturday, the two parks I am thinking about are Six Flags Great America, or Six Flags Worlds of Adventure, I've never been to either, and need some advice. What would you suggest?

I didn't ask for travel tips on how to get there. Well, if we drive half-way to SFGAM on friday night, stay in a hotel, get up early saturday morning and go the rest of the way to SFGAM.

I have been to both this season (SFGAm is my home park) and I think it (SFGAm) is the better park.
Both have the vertical LIM (S:UE - V2)
SFGAm has BTR (the original), IronWolf (B&M's first stand-up), Raging Bull - hypertwister, Viper - a modern-day CI Cyclone, Eagle - classic racing (yea-right) out and back woodie, Shockwave - ouch, and last but defintely not least the Whizzer (an Anton Schwartkopf classic terrain coaster). Very clean park and nice employees.
SFWoA has X-flight (flying-only one in midwest) and BKF (floorless). The Villain is a good wood coaster but IMHO, the rest of the rides are pretty generic.
So, again IMHO, if you're willing to make the drive, go for SFGAm.

Anyone who tells you to get to SFWoA over SFGAm is talking from a time standpoint. There isn't much at SFWOA that beats SFGAm.

Batman the Ride is WORLDS better than Serial Thriller, and I really don't like BTR all that much. I just hate Serial Thriller.
Viper is better than Villain now. Villain did not age well, and it REALLY beats you up.
Demon's better than Double Loop. Very fun, no line.
SFGAm also has Raging Bull, a coaster you might like more than ANY other you'll get on, and Iron Wolf, a unique standup experience.

SFGAm ! It's worth the drive. Probably one of, of not THE, best coaster parks (not saying they have the most, or biggest - rather a diverse selection of top notch coasters).

Ok here it is simple and to the point.
CP to SFWoA is about 2 hours drive. It is a decent park. Nothing terribly spectacular but worth checking out at least once.
I went there last season and the standout rides there were SUE and Villain (IMO). They alone are worth going to SFWoA. Now you get to go to the marine life park as an added bonus which I did not get to do last season since they were not operating as one unit. Batman Knight Flight is also a good ride. If you are a more nostalgic type then Big Dipper and Raging Wolf Bobs are a must ride. I would imagine that X-flight is really good as well.
I only spent about 2 hours in the park and did everything I had wanted to do at that time. The staffing here is not the greatest but it is bearable.
SFGAm is actually my home park. It is a 7-9 hour drive depending on traffic flow. The last 11 miles in Indiana will be a bit slow due to construction. Personally I like this park better than SFWoA, however SFWoA does have a bright future ahead of it. This is one park that it will be hard to get lost in as it is one great big circle (a very deformed circle though).
There are quite a few standouts here. Whizzer is the last speed racer in North America. It is not huge on thrills but it is a nice break from the higher thrill rides and also a way to get out of the sun since it is in the most forested section of the park. A majority of the ride is hidden from view of the park.
Viper is a newer wood coaster that packs in great laterals and airtime in it tight little twister layout. An note of interest is that the queue line and exit weave under parts of Raging Bull.
Raging Bull is the worlds only "Hyper-twister". It is an extremely smooth ride and really does not have much in the line of laterals but depending on where you sit (recommend the back)you can get some really nice floater airtime.
Demon is a classic steel Arrow looper. It is tiny and has 4 loops. Thankfully this is one Arrow that is not a headbanger. The tunnels have great sound effect and some interesting lighting. The second tunnel is great at night.
Deja Vu, well as we all know it is just sitting there acting pretty. I want to ride it but they still have not finished construction of it.
American Eagle is the second oldest coaster in the park (Whizzer being the oldest). It also is one of the parks signature rides. It does provide a fun but slightly rough ride. The brakes before the helix to tend to take away a bit of steam from the ride however there is still plenty of airtime. It just lacks on laterals. The red side has a few more hills than the blue side.
Iron Wolf is the first B+M coaster anywhere ever. It is a standup coaster. It is quite fun but can provide some mild headbanging. Jeff has come up with a method that seems to eliminate it. Keep your feet back and lean into the harness a bit.
Spacely Sprocket is a kiddie coaster but looks like a lot of fun. It is essentially a standard Vekoma Roller Skater model.
V2 is essentially the same as SUE at SFWoA. It is an intense ride but is prone to breakdowns. Personally I like V2 over SUE only due to its placement in the park. Both spikes on V2 are over water. Looking down at the water on V2 does add to the excitement.
Batman the Ride is the first ever inverted coaster and probably one of the more intense inverteds out there. This has the best ride theming of the park. It is still fairly smooth but does deliver on the G's quite well.
Shockwave is one of Arrow's multi-loopers. I usually get banged around pretty good on this one. Rarely do I come off without a headache. It is a fun ride despite that.
Other fun rides in the park to check out. Dino Island II 3D - look at the space shuttle on the outside of the building. Nice clashing of themeing hey? Not when it first opened. It was a space shuttle ride originally. Giant Drop - themed as a mining operation. Fun but short. If you like shows check out the Russian Circus in Southwest Territory. It is amazing what those Russian kids can do.

I have been to both in the last 2 years. I would personally choose Great America.
