Texas worth a "Coaster Road Trip?"

Is Texas worth a road trip to go on coasters? I might head down there in 2003 because I'll be able to drive and i'll go during my Junior summer.
is it worth going to Texas?

It definitely is... Every park has at least one world class coaster. SFFT has the INCREDIBLE Superman Krypton COaster floorless, and SFAW is home to three wonderful Schwarzkopf coasters and the newly refurbished Texas Cyclone, which jumped onto my Top 10 Wooden coaster list when I rode a week or two ago. Of course SFoT has Titan and the Giant, and the classic Schwarzkopf coaster, Shockwave.

I would love to go on Superman Krypton Coaster. Titan looks awesome, too. Isn't a Mr. Freeze coaster at SFoT?

Yes, Mr. Freeze is at SFoT, and a great ride.
I forgot about Steel Eel at Seaworld. Isn't the Great White a B:TR clone?

sorry, ASTROWORLD
I am shocked to read Brandon say something nice about Astroworld! Pigs are flying!

Anyway, Texas is a big state with a fairly large number of parks with rollercoasters: Six Flags Over Texas, Fiesta Texas, Astroworld, Sea World of Texas, plus Wonderland and Joyland (these two are a bit harder to visit). Just hitting the three Six Flags you'll find a number of great rides such as Texas Giant, Superman Krypton Coaster, Texas Cyclone, Ultra Twister, Titan, etc. If you wait till 2003, who knows what new rides will have been built.
Ya, I'm going to the three Six Flags parks, and I'll go to Sea World. I don't know about Wonderland and Joyland.

Where else in th US will you ride Ultra Twister! ;)
At the beginning of the last month I did just that a trip to Texas for coasters. Hit all three of the SF parks. Got to ride them all WTE of Texas Tornado most of them at least twice WTE of "Dosen't XLR-8", two boomerangs and one SLC wich I found to be a lot worse than the two(Boomerang and SLC) at Wild Adventures.

Me and my Wife had a great time In San Antonio as well just wish we would of had more time to visit Sea World and maybe Schlidderbahn. I did not know San Antonio was such an awesome city with alot of stuff to do if not I would have planned more time for this city.

The only thing i was sad about was my wife wouldn't let me Sign out loud in front of the Alamo "The Stars at night Are Big and Bright"
Just to see if anybody would clap and finish the song.(Pee Wee Hermans Big Adventure)

And No, I didn't find the Basement either!!!!

I just did all 3 Texas Six Flags parks in June of this year, it was fun. We got rained out of Astroworld though, (they closed the park at 3pm) due to Tropical Storm Alison. We missed out on Ultra Twister, Greezed Lightnin, and The Coaster Formerly Known as Thriller. :(

Even though it was not nearby, we also went to Jazzland in N'awlins. Mega Zeph was better than anything in Texas! Don't get me wrong, Texas has PLENTY of great rides, MZ beats them all, IMO.

"X" marks the spot in 2001!
Megazeph is a mediocre coaster, at best.

You can't honestly tell me that, since you say MegaZeph was better than "anything" in Texas, MegaZeph is better than Titan, or The Texas Giant or Superman Krypton Coaster, or heck, for that matter Texas Cyclone. You are on crack.
