End of the breeds?

I think these coasters won't be built much anymore in the future...

• Flying Dutchman
• Giant Inverted Boomerang (GIB)
• Reverse Free-fall
• Stand-Up

I disagree on the reverse freefall, but agree fully with the Flying Dutchman. Unless B&M does something with it, I belive it will remain as a novelty coaster, at least with Vekoma's engineering.

Vekoma Dutchman = will be built for 2 more years, then no more.

B&M Dutchman = will become almost as prevelant as the invert has become.

I think all of these coasters will continue to be built in the next ten years WTE of the reverse Free Fall. Vekoma if not B&M will have flying coasters, B&M will continue to build Standup coasters as a novelty, The Super Boomerang is a new prototype and if they can work out the flaws they will be built in many parks, wich they will do and in 5 years we will be complaining about them being cloned everywhere.

WTE of the Reverse Free Fall There will probably be at least in 2002 one Flying Coaster(SW5 or Air by B&M at Alton Towers), One GIB or Super Boomerang(Twister by Vekoma at WBMW Spain), And one Standup(?Name? by B&M at SFNE if approved).

It really depends on the park. A lot of coasters right now are still so novel that smaller, less economically strong parks cannot afford them. But as the novelty and innovation wears off those designs, smaller parks will be able to build them a bit more easily, and we'll see more.

flying coaster may be like the SLCs, and if they are then that means B&M will come along and make them into mater pieces like Montu and Raptor, and the Alphengiest(spelling). The reverse free fall will be built very little due to the new S&S power coasters like hyper sonic. and if the GIB get working right then we will see more, also we may see one that not inverted.

I hope that the regular boomerangs go.

I think the regular boomerangs should stay. It's nice to give younger/less experienced people a smaller, tamer ride to go on.

If parks are smart, they won't build any more boomerangs. When they stall (which is very frequently), it strands riders, and those stupid riders will file some kind of lawsuit.

I agree. The Boomerang may be compact and inexpensive, but it really isn't a very well-designed ride. There are better "starter coasters" that take up the same, or less, land, such as a wild mouse.

I don't know why everyone goes on about starter coasters - my first rollercoaster (other than tiny rides for 4year-olds) was Nemesis, and that certainly aint the sort of ride you people are talking about - you don't need starter rides except for small people who can't get on the big rides.

We may not like Boomers, but I know a lot of non-enthusiasts that love the ride.

Some do need a starter coaster and,i'll give you an example..
My brothers first looping coaster was a single loop shuttle.Turned out,he hated it but,if i had to deal with him barfing or passing out on me because it was a longer coaster,it would have been a nightmare.The single loop was so short he didn't get to that point and we knew he wasn't going to like big coasters.It's like dipping your feet in the water to see how cold it is before you jump in.Some people can dive rite in and,some can't.
