non-intamin box track coasters

Is it just me, or ever since intamin has delved into their "box track" (MF, Volcano etc.)have they never missed on a good ride?

I think that the coasters in the box-era was when intamin first started to get the hang of coasters.

Can you name a non-box, non-schwarzkoph, intamin ride that rocks? I can't really think of one. It's just recently that theyve became a really kick arse company. Does anyone agree?

it is a great company i agree. and i have liked every one of their coasters that i have been on. well on S:ROS, the only parts that are boxed are the parts where the train is going really fast or where there are a lot of G's. cuz the bunny hills, and helix's arent boxed.

SROS @ SFNE uses all triangle track and it's an intamin. I think its the best coaster out there, but thats just my opinion... -Chris

Volcano isn't Box Tracky. It is Triangle Tracky;) Still a great ride though.

Well, if you count the Intamin/Schwarzkopf joint ventures, then you could count all shuttle loops, Flashback at SFMM, all Intamin Jr. Coasters, Revolution at SFMM, basically all early Intamin coasters. It is only recently that they have started using Box-Track.

Well in some ways box track=triangle track because they use them all together (ALA cedar point/MF) The high stress points use box, and the lesser (mostly straightaways - the only one I really notice is right before the last overbanked turn) use triangle, making it cheaper.

Volcano had no Box track at all. It is either tiangular, or flat peices.

This may not count, American Eagle. Even though it has been tamed, it still has one of greatest drops around.

Yup, I agree, Intamin has become a big kick arse company :). Their only weak points are Sit-down & Inverted Megaloopers (compared to Beemers), there are not enough of them around.
