What coaster's layout makes the best out of the surrounding land conditions (hills, rivers, forests, etc.).

Mine are either Big Bad Wolf or the Beast

Obviously Boulder Dash.
But Magnum uses the area pretty good too I think.

Hmm magnum I dont know, its just where they had to put it. I liek all the coasters placement at PKI, Beast, SOB, and Vertigo all make good use of the land. Leng and raven make very very very good use of the land. But if givin a choice I would have to say beast beats them all. Cp does what it can with totally flat land I guess.

Boulder Dash. Is there really anything else that comes close to it? I mean, sure, some stuff is "in the forest", but nothing hugs the terrain like 'dash.

Whizzer @ SFGAm. It follows the ground well, and almost always stays under the trees.

I'd say Phantom's Revenge. The second drop plunges into that huge ravine. That's pretty cool.

Cornball express. If you have been there you know what I mean. They basically stacked it on everything else. THey even had to elevate the station so high to get the ride in.
Beast is also one.

Mind Bender at SFOG. The ride uses the terrain and trees to the fullest extent. Add the waterfall which runs Riddler green water, and you got a winner.

man i agree with everyones coasters that they said. I mostly think, Beast, Raven, Phantom's Revenge and Boulder Dash use the land to its advantage. Beast uses the hills for tunnels and dips. Raven uses the lake for a nice turnaround and the trees. Phantom's Revenge uses the ravine. And Boulder Dash uses the moutainside and boulders to increase the rides excitement.

Well, choosing only from rides I've actually ridden, I'd have to say The Beast, The Raven, Screamin' Eagle and The Boss. Oh yeah...Top Gun @ PKI too.

Current favorite coasters:
Wooden: 1) Beast 2) Raven 3) Son of Beast 4) The Boss 5) The Legend
Steel: 1) Raging Bull 2) Millennium Force 3) V2 4) Wild Thing 5) Mr. Freeze

Nobody has yet mentioned the Kennywood Jack Rabbit! At the other extreme, "worst use of terrain" might be the Kennywood Racer.

Dragon Mountain at Marineland, Canada. It makes a GREAT use out of the natural terrian of the land. 2 long tunnels, 2 loops in a row that go down the mountain... perfect fitting along the entire mountain.

I would have to say the Beast at PKI. But, Don't forget about Top Gun. You can't get a much closer look at the ground on any other coaster, and the drop and swing through the ravine is great.
