roller coaster builders

Now i know a lot of us Buzzers say that they want to build coasters, so how are you going to do this, what colleges do you look at and what classes will you take?

I wrote a letter to Arrow in Salt Lake City one time. They suggested majoring in Civil Engineering. I started to do that at Auburn, but didn't finish. I finished all the math (a lot, all the way through Calulus 4!) I might go back some day b/c that's the only thing that makes me happy.

Princeton, mechanical engineering

Companies I want to work for in the coaster industry:

Setpoint
GCI
Arrow

Obviously, I'm not going to get a job at these companies until I've had several years of experience working elsewhere. As I understand it, a degree in mechanical engineering has a good amount of flexibiliy job-wise so, finding a job right out of college shouldn't be too hard.

im gonna take courses in high school to help prepare me for architect classes in college. is there any architecture involved? or is there only engineering? cuz i have always wanted to build em too.

Accually, to build them you only need to be an iron worker. That would be easier on the mind, harder on the body.
For designing them, there are all kinds of feilds that would help. Most are engineering, but I'm sure there are a few others.
