Intamin Box Track/Knotts or Disney

Saw a semi truck today in rush hour coming out of Long Beach headed towards Knott's or Disney. One piece of Intamin Box Track, about 20 feet. Had a tag that said "Intamin AG" on it. Wish I had a camera! Color was rust/brown.

That color would fit in a western area so it could be Knotts.

WOW! Hopefully it is coming to KBF. They need a hyper badly.

Could be Frontier land as well. You know how Disney alwasy sort of hides the maker. IE Matterhorn - Arrow, Space Mountain - Vekoma. If it's Knott's, my guess would be that it is for a display of sorts. Seemed odd there was only one piece of track. There was some other stuff toward the front that stood around 6 feet high, but it was covered. *** This post was edited by Snoopy on 7/24/2001. ***

Wow, how exciting! I hope it's a hyper for Knott's. I doubt Disney would add a coaster so soon with all the other stuff happening right now (Millionaire, Tower of Terror, Electrical Parade, Lincoln). I think Disney should be set for a while.

Can we say "Expedition Ge-Force"? Mini-Millennium Force? For Ghost Town? Why not!? Woohoo!

Try Windjammer area, Hypersonic like, 200+feet tall, no inversions, and announced before the end of August.

No way. Jim Disney has strictly denounced this idea...and he knows what's next.

I'm not sure that I believe you since every piece of Intamin track I've ever seen arrive at a park came in a shipping container, much less with a toe tag.

Wow, you saw all that from the back of a slowly moving truck? Somehow, I do believe you. The announcement from Knott's is VERY close if sources are correct. And it IS Intamin, but NOT a hyper.

How about this. When I go to work today at the farm, I will check around backstage and see if this special delivery actually came in.
I certainly hope so...

Now a launched Intamin....Haven't we all seen that before (Impulse, Volcano: The Blast Coaster).

But I wouldn't be surprised that the announcement will be coming soon. August is always a good time....

I think it's a inverted coaster of Intamin.

Assuming that the evidence is what it seems to be, I'd go with KBF for one reason alone. Cedar Fair has a history with Intamin (and a successful one at that), Disney doesn't.

I thought Disney was happy with California Screamin'. Besides, they've started clearing out the Windjammer.

Then again, perhaps we're getting put on. ;)
