There is no way that any ferris wheel can replace the triple arm Sky Whirl! Don't parks respect the nostalgic feeling people have after going to a park, some for most of their lives (like me)? While the Sky Whirl may not have been a big profit maker, it was still an essential part of the park, since it distinguished its skyline from that of other parks. It always had a line, while rarely longer than 5 minutes, it did have a line.
I can live with the removal of the sky whirl. I'm not at all happy about it, but I can live with it.
The day they remove the Triple Play, is the day I vow never to return to SFGAm. And I hope somebody who works there realizes this. Of all the non-rollercoaster rides, Triple Play is best since you get air-time every 5 seconds for the duration of the ride. I'm pretty sure Cedar Point has the same ride, Troika I think. If you've never ridden these rides, they are a definate must.
