I JUST returned from a magical trip from the magic mountain. Six Flags Magic Mountain that is. I'm going to cover my trip in two parts, ride reviews, and construction progress.
CONSTRUCTION
Thrill Shot
• All three towers are structurally COMPLETE! There were workers "fiddling" with the cables that were already installed on the each of the three tower legs, but nothing much going on other than that on TS. Those three vertical sticks of metal are extremely tall...I mean INSANELY TALL. Yes I have to scream that!
Deja Vu
• Before I say anything, I would like to comment that this thing is HUMONGOUS. This is twice the size of any boomerang or invertigo I've ever seen for that matter. Looking at pictures of it for months and finally seeing the real thing up-close, I am for sure able to come to the conclusion that this isn't just "another boomerang".
• The ride was being tested ALL DAY. The test runs were continuous, non-stop. To me, the trains went through the inversions at a sluggish pace (not much so that it stalls though) but I suppose when it opens and is loaded with a train full of people, this ride will tear through the tracks like a bullet. The ride is also very nice looking too and to my suprise, isn't ridiculously close to Psyclone like I had imagined and seen from construction pictures.
X
• My eyes rolled into the back of my head upon seeing this thing up close, and like my up-close view of Deja Vu, pictures DO NOT DO IT JUSTICE. I cannot stress that enough! It looks NOTHING like it does from construction pictures. It is very much larger and...nicer looking. It compliments Viper very nicely.
• As of my visit, all that I noticed that was tracked to the moment was the inverted turn-around by the station and it was pretty much completely tracked up until there. A lot of support structure was up as well too for the second raven turn I would presume.

RIDE REVIEWS
Goliath
• Not much to say except it's still very intense and out of control. And to my semi-suprise, there was not too much braking on the block brake. Still smooth. And the landscaping & foliage has really started to grown in, it's like a real jungle in the queue! Gives plenty of relaxing shade.
Batman : The Ride
• Still very smooth and intense since the last time I rode it last fall. Packs a good punch. I had to sit on my flip-flops during the ride!
The Riddler's Revenge
• The king of stand-up coasters still reigns supreme! Very smooth, long, fast, and intense. One thing I noticed is that the block brake was turned up a bit higher. But the second half is just as good.
GoldRusher
• Good single head-chopper under the Log Jammer flume, but a bit jerky. Nice and fast helix finale.
Viper
• The back seat makes this thing seem like it's pushing the law of gravity. Just plain FAST and agressive. It's outrageous. The double corkscrew gives lots of floating.
Ninja
• N/A
Superman : The Escape
• N/A
Revolution
• N/A
Colossus

Psyclone
