SFO - July 27th

I was surprised by the shortness of the lines all day long (in most cases). Waited about 10 minutes both times I rode Batman, and from 5 to 15 the 3 times I rode Villain (love that ride!) Batman was only running 2 trains, and slowly running them at that, but since the crowds were small, I didn't complain too much. What drives me nuts is how the swinging gates to board the trains don't open right away after the riders from the last train exit. Ride ops are so much slower than they are at CP, also. I love the Villain but hate the lapbars on it (even with their new padding.) Superman was about 5-10 minutes all day long. Walked on Raging Wolf Bobs early in the morning, but there was quite a long wait for it later in the day because they were only running one train. The green train on Serial Thriller STILL isn't fixed, and that led to us waiting an hour an 10 minutes for that stupid ride. NOT WORTH IT! Who knows, maybe I would have liked it better if I wouldn't have had to wait so long. Mind Eraser was also short, only with the one train. Sadly, the Big Dipper was closed, and I really was looking forward to riding that John Miller classic. Finally, the Double loop ran one train, but since no one rides that useless ride, it really doesn't matter.

My son and I were there on July 26th as a part of our coaster expedition. We also waited over an hour for the stupid Serial Thriller ride. I didn't know the other train was broken. I just thought it was poor management that they were not running 2 trains. I din't think it was worth the wait. Couple strange decellerations in the middle of the ride.

Got a front row ride on Batman, KF. That was pretty fun, but disappointing that the on ride photos were not working at all. They were running 2 trains, but the line was short. The ride ops here were pretty sharp. They took care of getting my restraints latched (why can't the seat belt be 1/2 inch longer?) quickly. They caught a couple kids who were under the height requirement (parents tried stuffing extra socks into the kids shoes. Really stupid.)

Big Dipper was broken all day, the only coaster that we were unable to ride on our trip.

Villian was fun. Too bad that the grafitti artists are already taking to the wooden queue line dividers.

Superman UE was pretty fun too. It really screams out of the station. The hang up on the last back side trip was kind of funky.

Mind Eraser really had a lackadaisical op doing the loading. Was my first boomerang. It was kind of cool.

I also noticed that generally ops didn't open the loading gates until after the previous load were completely out of the seats. What was with the unpainted squares of fiberboard fastened between loading gates?

Food was really expensive. My son saw a KFC stand down by the new kids area. We each had a "combo" meal, which did not include drinks, and the drinks. It came to more than $15!

My son commented that every shop you went into had rap music playing. He didn't think much of that. We both thought that the park had some improvements to make to get the level of SFGA. Some areas need to be painted, etc. Saw some grafitti dated in 99. The new rides were really 漀漀搀⸀ഀ਀ഀ਀ഀ਀ ⨀⨀⨀ 吀栀椀猀 瀀漀猀琀 眀愀猀 攀搀椀琀攀搀 戀礀 挀漀愀猀琀攀爀搀愀搀 漀渀 㠀⼀㈀⼀㈀　　　⸀ ⨀⨀⨀

I went there the 30th and they were only playing Country music. I also noticed that they had done a good job of using a sander to get rid of all of the grafitti (or at least most) in all of the rides that were open. THey even replaced some of the poles that must have had writing on them

They must of really been working on the 3 days between visits! Serial Thriller's station was the worst for grafitti, and alot of the tops of the wooden queue dividers on Villain were written on. Wood is a cheap material, easy to work with, and has good themeing potential, but is much more suceptible to vandalism than steel.

I did see where they had painted and placed wire over the tunnel walls in Villain to prevent more writing.

wow, someone actually liked the bkf crew here... good job :)

i really wished you could have ridden big dipper, it is my #2 woody. built in the 20's(i am pretty sure) and it is still awesome.

Well, I had read some complaints about the BKF crew there, but I didn't see any reason to complain. I saw them catch several too short riders, they were getting the new train out before the other train hit the station brakes. They dealt with big guys in the restraints. Hey they did a good job.
