Cedar fair & Corkscrews

Is it just me, or does it seem like every Cedar Fair park has a corkscrew that is named corkscrew? Cedar Point, Vallyfair! Knotts, Michigan's Adventure, Dorney?, Wierd, huh?

Dorney had a cork screw coaster before? if so its long gone now.

Knott's does not have a roller coaster with a corkscrew or named corkscrew anymore. They sold the Gravity Definying Corkscrew ahile ago.

Yes, but some are not there anymore and they were all built before there was a Cedar Fair.

Corkscrew in it's prime was very similar to the "Boomerang" rush of the mid 80's. Lots of clones and close-clones.

Worlds Of Fun doesn't have a corkscrew.

There are only two Cedar Fair parks with a traditional "Corkscrew" Arrow coaster, they would be Cedar Point and Valleyfair! Knott's Corkscrew (now at Silverwood Park, Idaho) opened in 1975 as the first modern day roller coaster (or successful) to turn riders head-over-heels. The following year, Magic Mountain took it to the next level with the world's first successful 360° vertical loop. So I guess you could say the modern looping genre began in California.

Oh! Michigan's Adventure has one also...but it's a newbie Cedar Fair park, so it wasn't at the top of my head.

They used to, known as the Screamroller, then the Extremeroller (modified with stand-up cars). it was takin out in the early 80's i believe
