Magnum- first hypercoaster diff view

Every time someone talks about Magnum, they say it was the first coaster to top 200ft, but there was one way before it. Moonsault Scamble is 207 ft and was built in 1983. Why did Magnum get so much attention and this coaster didn't?

Moonsault Scramble (Meisho, 1983 -- Nagashima Spaland) was ignored because it was a shuttle. Why do the records that Montezuma's Rvenge and Superman:TE get ignored? They are shuttles.

Also, the hill was 207' -- not the train height. The first car was the only one that made it over 200'. Magnum was the first to push the entire train over 200'

There was just a post on this a few minutes ago. The one about Magnum being the first hypercoaster (it's now closed).

If you count shuttle coasters as a rollercoaster, Moonsault Scramble is the tallest coaster to reach over 200 feet. (Don't let this get into a debate!).
