Charity FUNraising on Difficult Staffing Days

As we approach the end of the season, we all know Halloween is the busiest time yet the most challenging for staffing the parks. I wanted to remind everyone that many parks, especially Six Flags, have programs set up for non-profits to raise money by working in the parks, especially in park services, foods, merchandise, admissions, etc. For Six Flags it is called FUNraising and can be found on each parks web site with all the details.

In the past I have tried to encourage coaster and theme park enthusiast groups to consider donating a day or weekend to help raise many for preservation causes, organization expenses, etc. You get to wear your organization t-shirt which is a great way to engage with parks guests about your passion for theme parks and rollercoasters!

This coming weekend is the busiest for parks with it being a holiday weekend (Columbus Day on Monday) and the weather is looking great across the country. It's not too late to reach out to a park to help out this weekend or the remainder of October if you have an organization you would like to raise money for and can gather a group to do a shift at your local park.
