In 2026, Vekoma celebrates its 100th anniversary. What began in 1926 as a manufacturer of agricultural equipment in the Dutch province of Limburg has grown into one of the world's leading designers and builders of roller coasters and attractions.
In this 30-minute documentary, we take you on a journey through a century of history. Through personal stories from former owners, employees, and current leaders, you'll discover how Vekoma evolved from a local family business into a global force in the attractions industry.
I find it vaguely entertaining that a good portion of the footage, including the screenshot, is from a Vekoma ride that was retracked by a third-party company (and, it should be said, radically improved in the process).
