Cedar Point Advice for Late August Visit

I haven't been to CP for 2 years. I may visit next week at the end of August during the week.

I don't have early entry and the website doesn't seem to be selling Fast Lane Plus:

I need the credits for Siren and TT2. I also want to ride Vengeance as much as possible.

Where should I go at 10 am first? Then go to the other credit.

How can I get a lot of rides on Vengeance?

Any advice?

Thanks,

MM

That is traditionally one of the least busy weeks to visit; I don't think a Fast Lane would have much value. I suggest entering through the Marina gate and do Siren's Curse, TT2, and then back to Steel Vengence. I was there last Wednesday Sept. 19 and Steel Vengence never got over 30 minutes and most of the day was 15.

Most schools will be in session (Sandusky goes back on Wednesday the 26th), and Friday night Football and Saturday Cross Country meets and soccer matches are taking over peoples' priorities. Good week and weekend to visit, especially that Thursday and Friday.

Fast Lane always available for purchase in the park, but I doubt it would be remotely worth it on those two days.

I was there Thurs (8/20). On a slow day like that a FL+ will shave a whole 5-10 min from a 25 min wait on Vengeance. It's also pretty useless on MF, saving 5 min on a 25min wait.

On the other hand, you can seriously lap TT2 with Fastlane. There would often be less than 10 people waiting for FL while the regular queue was 20-30min.

In this offseason, I don't think a FL+ is necessary outside of Saturdays. The biggest factor lately seems to be avoiding breakdowns. I was rather unlucky Thursday, having 3 rides break down while waiting their lines, then Maverick completely dying and giving me a 30min evac penalty at the end of the day. I did get an exit pass I think should work well on MF.

Thanks for the replies.

More questions since I am out of touch with CP these days.

Can you still enter from the Marina entrance?

Also, in regards to the no cell phone policy on TT2, Vengence and Siren.

Any work arounds or hacks on that? Some place to stash a phone?

or other ideas other than lockers?

Thanks,

MM

If you choose to bring your phone in line there are free lockers just before boarding for SV and Siren's Curse; you can't bring anything in line with you at TT2; those lockers are outside the queue.

I'm not sure I would trust stashing my phone anywhere else than a safe, secure (and free) locker.
