I'm pretty excited about the new ships. The Wish class has always been a little controversial for frequent cruisers, but really only because of the way adult spaces are not grouped, and the lack of a full-circle promenade. The Treasure makes up for it with extraordinary detail and themes. Looks like the biggest change on these new ships is a big old window in the middle, presumably into whatever the atrium is in those. Originally they were teasing just two of these, so it's interesting to hear about three. Also, it's wild how Royal Caribbean just keeps going bigger and bigger, and Disney is doing the opposite.

They're adding a ton of capacity to Magic Kingdom. I naively wish this would just result in shorter wait times, and not even more guests.

I’m also excited for the two most important rides in Epcot (the icon and mascot ride) to get proper refurbishments. Let’s hope we have more than video screens on the decent portion of Spaceship Earth again, and excited for Figment to be paired with his creator Dreamfinder again.

Much of the Florida news was table setting for the already announced expansions but it's nice to see some of the details. I still like Spaceship Earth but a refresh that doesn't totally upend the ride is good with me. I agree on the outdated descent. It feels like a wasted opportunity. My kid and I rode it in May and we were totally checked out of it. Journey and the Yeti seem like a tip of the cap to the die hard fans. I can't wait to see how Carousel of Progress turns out. The voice actors are a great choice and I'm curious about how the Walt animatronic fits in and if they maintain any of the Jean Shepherd narration. The thought of Walter White singing "There's a Great Big Beautiful Tomorrow" is intriguing.

When I was a Cast Member at Epcot circa 2010-2014 I know that all of the descent show scenes for the 1990s Jeremy Irons/AT&T version of Spaceship Earth (the videoconferencing families, etc.) were still intact behind the black curtains. I hope they make use of those areas again for actual show scenes.

I'm also excited for Laurie Strode and Tim Whatley to narrate Carousel of Progress. I'd love for them to find a way to use a sample of the Jean Shepherd narration in a fun way.

Yea. It’s just going to make Magic Kingdom even more crowded than it always is. 😂

but I love the looks of the new areas and attractions. I’m always down for a new coaster and a new Cars ride.

And then the AI bubble will burst and Disney will only build a fraction of these plans like they've done so many times in the past.

The only Florida plans that aren't already in progress are Spaceship Earth and Imagination.

And the Yeti

The AI bubble will hurt investors, but I'm not sure if it will have broad financial impact. There's so much money tied up in it, but I'm not sure how that translates to the general populace.

Touchdown:

I hope we get big screens for the indecent portion, though.

Probably not worth starting another thread. I saw a Facebook post this morning showing small handrail mounted tables being installed in Mexico and Germany at Epcot. The authorities should probably be notified since this is a dangerous threat to the longstanding tradition of enjoying festival kiosk food on top of a trashcan. They will probably be used as seats, changing tables, and a spot for kids to stand during the nighttime show, but I guess it's the thought that counts.

All priorities , resources and money will be shifted to Disney Abu Dhabi
