Six Flags-Cedar Fair Merger

Honestly this one could go in the clickbait thread:

Skipping the mulch??!!

What the heck was that? If you thought the title was bad, read the first sentence! "The 2027 season passes for the beloved Sandusky roller coaster mecca just went on sale — and the prices have jumped significantly any new attractions announced to justify the increase."

I think they left out a word. At least it's a sign a human wrote it instead of AI.

Of course they found the one idiot that bought a 2026 pass a couple weeks before the new ones went on sale and is now shocked to see a sale. They've been doing this for how many years?

The gold pass increased from $99 to $115. The horror. No mention of the fact that a pass to CP is cheaper than it was in the early 2000's. And they aren't charging Disney prices. Disney's passes are far more even for in state residents and their daily admission to one park is well more than a gold pass which gets you into four of the best regional parks in North America - CP, KI, Great America, and Canada's Wonderland.

And of course the first comment is something about this being "capitalism run amok."

And to top it all off, I thought about commenting, but looks like it's locked to people paying a minimum of $10 per month. What's worth more to you? A crappy newspaper website with journalism like this or a gold pass to Cedar Point? I know which I'd pick.

I'm losing hope in humanity.

Cleveland.com is infested with ads, AI-generated articles and images, and like you said, click bait. Their so-called journalist couldn’t even research the cost of a Disney annual pass ($1629) to see that their comparison is total BS.
