I have to say Great Adventure did a great job getting this ride. I can't remember in my limited rides at Great America and America but did it run trimless through the whole course at those parks? Great Adventure is running it that way and dear god it spins insanely once it unlocks to spin through the end. Most cars hit the brake run and are still spinning a good bit before they usually stop backwards and the poor ride ops have to spin them around to unload, LOL.

That is absolutely how it ran at SFGAm. I have yet to find another spinning mouse that spins anywhere near as crazily as that one.

I can't speak for how it ran at SFA.

I had a couple say to me this looks like a kiddie ride. I chuckled internally. They ended up in the car with me as I was a solo and Great Adventure is grouping to move the line. We got done and they said "That is no kiddie ride"

Whole-heartedly agree that it spun like mad in its time at SFGAm, but I have been on some others that spun as nicely (MFI, Beech Bend).

When we hit up SFA last spring (April 2025), it wasn't anywhere near its former self.

Glad to see/hear that it has gotten a new lease on life.

P.S. Pro-tip for maximum spin....put the fat guy (like me) in first on the far edge, and then load by decreasing weight. The side-to-side unbalance can really get things moving.

Great Aventure seems to want adults on the sides and kids in the middle. Every one under 59 inches needs an over 59 inch person with them per ops during my rides on Sunday.

But get 3 adults (max they allow) in there and OH BOY!

Watching online videos, I feel like it needs a bit of theming like billboard signs touting the Jersey Shore or a cool logo sign along the top. No?

On the spinning mouse at Luna Park (Zamperla model) being unbalanced makes a huge difference. Hopefully Great Adventure will let us do that. (Going next week.)

If all in your party are over 59" you should have no problem. Anyone under that they may have sit in the middle of others. I think they are trying not to have smaller people hitting their heads against the fiberglass body of the car.

Holy smokes does that thing spin. A really nice addition to the park.

The Boardwalk Pier or whatever it's called is well done - I had imagined it was replacing some of the mall of games, which I never see anyone playing, but it's a little spur at the end of that area - sort of like a pier. (It would be more convincing with some water nearby, but I can't blame them for not creating a water hazard while doing a major construction project. We'll see what happens when Bakula is done.)

In general, as noted in another thread, we commented all day on how much better the park looked. New paint, better seating areas, generally just looking well maintained.

After about 10 laps on it this year I've taken to calling it Barrels O Insanity

I’m working at the Ohio State Fair and there’s a “new” coaster. And maybe brand new, I believe it was fresh out of the crate. It’s a spinning mouse (we’ve had Crazy Mouse rides in many years past) but this one is a slightly different layout. The cars spin earlier, right before the first dip after the top set of switchbacks. Then there a fan turn (instead of a straight section across the front) then the big dip starts by leaving the fan curve, going all the way to the pavement, then straight up (no little double-up) to a block brake (off), then the lower section of switchbacks, etc.

Still with me? For an example there’s one of these (Zamp, probably) that debuted in Europe by the name of Heidi. (Odd coaster names there)
I watched ours go around for a while and the spinning was often just out of control.
Talley Amusements, out of Texas, has the contract here in Ohio these days. The hilarious thing is the number of rides they have with stolen names. There’s the Iron Dragon coaster, The Beast is a swing claw ride, and I think this new ride is Dominator even though there’s an Egyptian Pharaohs theme already. I guess I’ll have to go on it.
I’ll look for Heidi and post it for you. (If I owned this ride I’d call it Connie, but that’s just me).

This ride is Heidi from Munich Oktoberfest. I see on YouTube that she has also played the Arizona State Fair and the O.C. Fair.

Meh, sounds like Talley. They will also sue a fair committee if some other show outbids them.

It's a newer-style Reverchon. I believe this is the second one in the US. RCS has the other, which copied the same Heidi theme from the one that operates at Oktoberfest.

LOL that one Talley has is so tame vs Barrels.
