Dorney Park 6/19/2026

Got to Dorney shortly after opening. Was able to walk right through security, and to the Prestige Pass Entrance. It had been 2 years since I've been, and was looking forward to getting back. I had 3 hours in the park before I had to leave to make an appointment. Just wanted to get as many coaster laps as I could, and it turned out to be a good day for that.

It's always been a well maintained park. This visit was no exception. A lot of Fresh flowers planted, and nice landscaping. The Main midway is very Cedar Point like, and I enjoy how Dorney has transformed over the years. (Dating myself,) My first visit was 41 years ago when it still had a lot of it's trolly park roots.

Was going to hit Talon first thing, but when I got to it the line was too long. Figured I'd make that last, and headed for:

Hydra - This is one of those coasters that's just ok to me. For a B&M there are a few rough spots, but it's nothing unbearable. I only had to wait two trains for the front row.

Possessed - I like these Impulses, and it fits well into Dorney. Fun ride. Little bummed they don't use the holding brake anymore.

Iron Menace - I'm a fan of these, and feel like this was great replacement for Stinger/Lazer. I like to sit on the outer seats. Got two Laps, Front left and Second right. Also like the steam punk theming of the area.

Steel Force - This Morgan Hyper has aged well. Was able to re-ride 4 laps in the black train by just changing seats(all in the last car.) Then I waited for the front row. It's so much better in the front. Nice floaty airtime over every hill.

Thunderhawk - Just took one front row lap on this classic woodie, and it was riding well. Well maintained. Still hate the brake on the bunny hop, but still a fun ride.

Finished the Day on Talon - One Front Row lap(Used my one skip.) This coaster has aged well, and still really smooth. Fun Ride, and a good use of the footprint. It's easily the best B&M In the park.

I skipped the Wild Mouse as I've ridden it, and didn't want to wait.

Quick note. They had an event with ERT on Iron Menace before the park opened, and was speaking with an enthusiast from Britain(that loved Iron Menace) about it. He was on his 12 lap when I rode with him. It was an ACE affiliated event. Was anyone from here there for it?
