Intamin ships short seatbelts for Cedar Point's Millennium Force

Update on Millennium Force:

The ride’s manufacturer (Intamin) directly supplies the seat belts to Cedar Point, and it has been identified that they are shorter than the manufacturer’s specifications.

We are working with them to replace the belts in the coming weeks.

I'm glad they are fixing it. Apparently they can run the ride with just 2 ops on the platform during "less busy" times which made dispatch times even worse when there were multiple people that couldn't get their seat belts buckled.

Fixing this issue is a big mistake. Lengthening the belts will speed up the line, which will sell less Fastlane passes. Everyone already knows making as much money as possible is way more important than guest satisfaction.

But I thought they sold so many fastlane season passes that everyone has one now?

Watch the tram car please....

Not for nothing, but I've heard that could be the plan for even the busy times this year with the Six Flags budget.

They sold out before I could get All Season this year. So I bought one at Great America and will be bringing it to CP. So you're not wrong, haha.

It's quite unreal, over the years, the endless seatbelt woes that have occurred on MF. Literally, it's like every few years belts are routed incorrectly, they are the wrong length, etc...

You'd think they would be on top of this, by now.

I've once had a problem with MFs belt. Test seat was fine. Waited over an hour. Ride host didn't even try to help me. First walk of shame ever. Sadness. -Probably about five years ago.

A few years later, I decided to try again. Test seat was fine. Over an hour wait. Ride host easily helped me get me buckled. I quietly happy cried as we went up the lift hill because it is one of my favorite rides for nostalgic reasons. -Probably about two years ago.
