Six Flags reinstates park presidents

Six Flags will reverse course from its previous strategy of appointing regional park managers instead of local leaders. The list of parks affected includes Canada's Wonderland, Carowinds, Cedar Point, Kings Island, Knott's Berry Farm, Six Flags Great Adventure, Six Flags Great America, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Six Flags Over Georgia and Six Flags Over Texas.

Considering the timing of this announcement during the prime season pass selling window
Whether or not the sales are down, the timing surely is aimed at boosting season-pass sales. And making it a multi-park announcement makes sense to me because of the regional passes. Dorney locals in particular might be tempted to upgrade to the regional pass to get the holiday event at Great Adventure.
