I feel it wouldn't impossible for each SF park to become just an amusement park, meaning no shows no themeing, just each park like a big carnival in a way to reduce costs. They are looking at ways to make it profitable and I really hope their plans work out and that they don't end up closing other parks but I am not too optimistic.
While some of the layoffs are, I believe, part of restructuring to get control back to the park level, there is a problem that this constant drumbeat of layoffs creates....stress, anxiety, uncertainty, and an environment where talented full-time folks are always keeping one eye open for other job opportunities where there is stability. How could you not? Everyone knows the financial situation the company finds itself in which is the potential for bankruptcy, more sold parks, etc.
The ongoing shareholder lawsuit is something that I hope will expose the incredible amount of fraud committed by Selim Bassoul and the legacy Six Flags board. There needs to be accountability.
