Hersheypark 4/5/2026

First visit of the season to our home park. It was raining until 2pm, so we got to the park right around 3pm. No wait to get through security and the front entrance.

Candymonium(2 train operation,) walked onto the 3rd row, and a reride on the last row. Smooth and floaty. Good start to the day.

Headed over to Storm Runner(1 train operation,) it was down the steps and well in the queue. Would have been around 45 minutes, so we skipped.

Fahrenheit(1 train operation,) We got lucky and the line wasn't down the steps. 3 train wait for the front row. This is a coaster we usually only ride once or twice a year because it always has a line. Good to get a ride on the first visit. It was running well. There's usually a shuffle in the train and some how they finally fixed it.

Wildcats Revenge(2 train operation,) It was a walk on. Two laps in row one and three. I'm so happy to have this at our home park. Overheard a young enthusiast saying it was his new #3 ahead of El Toro. I don't know that I'd rate it that high.

Skyrush(1 train operation,) Was closed when we got to the park, and reopened after we got done riding Wildcats Revenge. Was a fifteen minute wait for the back row. Love that first drop in the back. Such a great ride.

We finished the day with a row 3 ride on the Comet(1 train operation.) Running well. It's so disappointing knowing what this ride could be if the mid course brake was off. It was just as good as the Phoenix in my childhood, and its a shame people don't get to experience that ride.

Lightning Racer and Great Bear wasn't open. We skipped Laff Trakk, Wild Mouse, SooperDooperLooper, and Jolly Rancher Remix.

We had a 6pm reservation at the Chocolatier to end the day. The ferris wheel appetizer is plenty of food for two people. Overall great first visit of the season.

I'm sure some of you heard about the fights with teenagers at the park Friday night. They need to enact a chaperone policy soon.

I learned today that there's been a wig stuck in a tree under Skyrush for the last two years.

Seen that on Facebook too. I didn't walk that path to check it out. 😉
